Whooeee did she ever! We are all aware of the ongoing battle between the Clintons and Comer about testifying regarding the Epstein files. They’ve sent sworn statements. But Comer is being a dick and wants them to testify in person. Apparently, Comer wants to help Trump with his Revenge Tour. Or something. Why in the hell is it so important? Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton dared House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) to hold her and former President Bill Clinton’s testimony on sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in public. After the couple requested that the hearing be public, Comer announced that he would hold depositions behind closed doors in late February. “Once it became clear that the House of Representatives would hold them in contempt, the Clintons completely caved and will appear for transcribed, filmed depositions this month,” Comer said recently.
The Clintons were the ones making the point, not Comer. He’s trying to save face. If they already provided the information, what’s the point of making them go to DC? It’s not like it’s going to make any difference now. There are a bunch of names in the last file drop. Why isn’t he going after them, too? If Congress caved on Jack Smith testifying publicly, why do they insist that the Clintons be behind closed doors? There’s a lot of difference between the Clintons and Mr. Smith. We could also guess they don’t give a damn about contempt.
On Thursday, Clinton doubled down by challenging Comer to a public hearing. “So let’s stop the games,” she wrote on X. “If you want this fight, @RepJamesComer, let’s have it—in public.”
Comer has backed himself into a corner. He’s insisted the Clintons come to Washington. But they are publicly NOT scared of him or questions. They have nothing to hide. His authority is losing its shine. Since they are willing to testify *publicly*, he has to hold on to what little power he has. Of course, he can’t back down now. All his puffery has become hollow and tarnished.
“You love to talk about transparency. There’s nothing more transparent than a public hearing, cameras on,” Clinton added. “We will be there.” The former secretary of state insisted that she and her husband had “told them what we know, under oath.” “They ignored all of it. They moved the goalposts and turned accountability into an exercise in distraction.”
WHAM. Comer is most certainly coming out as the lesser (aka FAIL) in this skirmish. Big Man in Congress isn’t looking too well in the spotlight. Comer has shown nothing to me that’s a decent reason for leading the House Oversight Committee. He talks and talks, but there doesn’t seem to be much intelligence in his head. What *is* the big deal that he’s drooling over them coming in? It’s just incomprehensible. It doesn’t make much, if any, sense. His head is in the clouds, while the Clintons are down to earth. Good grief.
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. Maybe the cowering Dems will take a hint from her and simply shine a light on what these cockroaches are up to….no need to embellish…..just the straight facts.
She makes it very clear that they aren’t worried about testifying. So why won’t Comer let it be public? What is *he* worried about?
I have been previously reminded that as much as we are disappointed in the Dems in Congress, they really are limited in what they can do since we’re a minority. We *can’t* assign blame. They’ve done what they can. That doesn’t mean we can’t fuss, though 😉
Comer is totally outclassed by the Clinton’s. He’s a fool, a moron, a puffed up little man trying to look like more than he is. He doesn’t. He looks like the fool that he is.
