This is sobering and it speaks directly to the issue of why Republicans are terrified to stand up to Donald Trump or vote their consciences, as they are supposed to vote in a real democracy. Thomas Massie has been part of the Epstein files release and it looks like he’s about to pay a very high price for taking that action. And he knows it.

Kudos to Massie for his philosophical stance, “it will be worth it.” But think of what this says about how our *democracy* is really working these days: piss off the wrong people, the ones with the big money, and they try to put you out of the game altogether.
There is no doubt, after seeing the list of Epstein contacts, that he was funded by and worked for a govt that needed leverage against the most powerful men in America!

It’s all part of what Khrushchev said back in 1956 and which I have quoted ad nauseum: “We will take you over without firing a shot. We will take you over from within.” Back in the day we may have had a communist takeover depicted in movies with reds dropping from the sky or invading our coasts in atomic submarines but that was Hollywood.
