It’s something we need to pay attention to. Now, CNN has gone from centrist towards the right, but every so often, there is an eye-opener published, and this is one of them. This person is worth trusting for the pulse of the nation, and this one is a whopper. Are you ready for this? From CNN via Raw Story:
CNN’s chief data analyst, Harry Enten, borrowed one of President Donald Trump’s favorite phrases on Thursday night to describe the president’s precipitous fall in support from a key part of his coalition. Over the last couple of months, Trump’s approval rating among young men aged 30 years and under has dropped by more than 56 points, Enten said during CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront.” Enten called the plummeting support “stunning.” “I think the word of the day, to borrow a phrase from the current president, is yuge!” Enten exclaimed.
This is honestly a big deal. This was a huge voting bloc for Trump in 2024, and to see those numbers fall that hard is both curious and unsettling. There doesn’t seem to be any specific reason, just the numbers going down doobeedoo, down down. Well, nothing that was simple to find. Other polls agree that Trump’s numbers aren’t just slipping down, they’re *plummeting* down. He is at his worst numbers so far in Trump 2.0. And they don’t show any signs of slowing in that fall.
“I spend my days in the spreadsheets,” he added. “You just don’t see drops like that. It’s stunning.” Trump’s success with young voters was one of the contributing factors to his success during the 2024 election, Enten pointed out. Between 2020 and 2024, Trump won 43% of voters under the age of 30 during the 2024 election compared to 31% of those voters during the 2020 campaign. The significant drop in support among this group could prove disastrous for Trump in the 2026 midterm election. “This is hugely important to Trump,” Enten said.
Well, far be it from us to complain. This is great! And if it keeps going, even better. Midterms are coming. Yes, we harp on those a lot, but this is our chance to sweep out the cowflops and get things *done*. The only things accomplished by Congress thus far are the Big Ugly Bill and a surprising unity on the Epstein files, although we have yet to see any signs of the files. Blondi is caught between a rock and a hard place. Too bad *crocodile tears*. He won’t fire her because that would admit she was a mistake, just like the rest of Trump’s “cabinet”. Please let the numbers keep dropping.
