Oh, my. This is not good for them. This is *really* not good for them. Moses Mikey has a lot of trouble on his hands because he has no spine and does what he’s told, with one exception in all the time he’s been around. “His” people are Un-Happ-Y. Midterms could be even worse than are currently expected, and that’s poor chances of hanging onto seats even before fundraising starts in earnest.

We’re already looking at good chances in three special elections coming up. Democrats are getting more favored by the day, not just by the week. We did some serious work earlier this month, and it showed. Now the red members of the House really need to worry because we are on a roll. And Mikey, spineless Moses MAGA Mikey is losing control of his members because they can read the writing on the wall and he has done nothing to support them. He doesn’t even seem to care. From Punchbowl News via Raw Story:

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) announced her retirement from Congress in a provocative manifesto that highlights growing tension in the Republican caucus — and party leaders are being warned it’s inspiring others. Greene’s critique comes at a critical moment for Republicans, who have a precarious majority with 219 seats compared to 213 for the Democrats. Upcoming special elections in Tennessee, Texas and New Jersey could further destabilize their position, reported Punchbowl News. “The crux of MTG’s message is that Trump and House Republicans are abandoning all of the president’s priorities, falling into complacency and are on the brink of squandering their razor-thin majority,” the outlet reported in its email newsletter.

Yikes! And whoa, does that sound like truth or what? Trump and Co. really *are* on the brink of losing their majority. However, we currently have no idea of what’s going on in the Senate, so that’s still a wild card. But the Republican “natives” in the House are restless, sick and tired of being treated like dirt, only good to be walked on. By the way, when did MTG get a new speechwriter? That’s surprisingly coherent for her. But anyhow.

“This entire White House team has treated ALL members like garbage. ALL,” said one senior House Republican. “And Mike Johnson has let it happen because he wanted it to happen. That is the sentiment of nearly all — appropriators, authorizers, hawks, doves, rank and file. The arrogance of this White House team is off putting to members who are run roughshod and threatened. They don’t even allow little wins like small grants or even responding from agencies. Not even the high profile, the regular rank and file random members are more upset than ever. Members know they are going into the minority after the midterms.”

Ouch! That came from a SENIOR member, too. Unrest in the ranks may be too mild a term. Bloody damn angry? Not sure if there’s something strong enough, apt enough, to really describe this. *Everyone* is getting stomped on. *Everyone* is being ignored. *Everyone* has had it with Moses MAGA Mikey Johnson and Trump. That was … unexpected. Mikey is so willfully blind that he may not realize what he’s done until it’s too late and un “fix” able.  To close:

More explosive early resignations are coming,” that senior House Republican added. “It’s a tinder box. Morale has never been lower. Mike Johnson will be stripped of his gavel, and they will lose the majority before this term is out.” “Let’s say Democrats are able to steal the Tennessee seat based on subpar GOP turnout — unlikely but possible — Johnson would have 218 members to Democrats’ 214. Texas and New Jersey would bring Democrats to 216,” Punchbowl reported. “If any members retire or fall ill, Johnson would be sunk.” “House retirements and resignations are common after holidays,” the newsletter added. “How appealing is it to return to the Capitol when the House spends most of its time voting on censure resolutions or meaningless messaging bills?”

It isn’t. There’s no point to it, so why bother? Stay home and take up archery, or read the books they’ve been intending to read for months or years; anything would be more interesting than the crap that is a “normal” business day in the House. We could also bet that a lot of people were getting really impatient with Mikey keeping the House closed when they have (and had) work, *real* work, to do. It’s one thing to have 2 weeks’ vacation. It’s another thing to have multiple forced weeks of “vacation”. We all like to kick back sometimes, but when Dear Leader Moses Mikey doesn’t let people go back to work, well…. There is unrest in the House.

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
