Poor mother Tucker. He gets dumped right and left everywhere he goes. Fox News dumped him and that was a major surprise. I remember well the night that happened to the fish stick prince, all that nice Murdoch money lost forever. Not that it matters because Tucker was born to plenty as the heir to a frozen food empire; but worse than losing the big paycheck was the ego destroying loss of platform. Carlson may have been the face and voice of the right-wing media sphere for years but he lost it all in one fell swoop. Then he went on to form his own network and podcast and now it looks like that’s getting trashed as the rest of right-wing media arches their collective back and snarls at him, like one big angry cat.
The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro used the entirety of his show on Monday—titled “Tucker Carlson Sabotages America”—to rage at the ex-Fox News pundit, whom he described as an “intellectual coward,” a “dishonest interlocutor,” and a “terrible friend.”
That outrage followed Carlson’s two-plus-hour interview last week with Nick Fuentes, who casually uses the N-word on his streams, is proudly anti-semitic, and says racist Jim Crow laws were “better for us.”
Shapiro rarely dedicates his show to a single issue, but said it was necessary to give his viewers a “brief glimpse into the twisted mind” of Fuentes, who is 27. He aired over a dozen clips of Fuentes’ most outrageous remarks—like him saying that “a lot of women want to be raped.”
Still, Shapiro made clear he is most peeved that Carlson—formerly a top MAGA figure, who has split with the coalition this year over the striking of Iranian nuclear sites and the suppression of the Epstein files—is normalizing such hate.
“The issue here isn’t that Tucker Carlson had Nick Fuentes on his show last week,” Shapiro said. “He has every right to do that, of course. The issue here is that Tucker Carlson decided to normalize and fluff Nick Fuentes, and that the [Project 2025 authoring] Heritage Foundation then decided to robustly defend that performance.”
Shapiro said Carlson has crashed and burned since his abrupt departure from Fox News.
There are people who would argue that being on Fox News is crashing and burning, albeit it in material comfort. That’s a matter of opinion and taste. But definitely, sanewashing Nick Fuentes is not a smart move to make. It’s just going to make a social pariah out of Carlson and he already has been a pariah of sorts for a while.
We’ll see where this goes. Trump will probably chime in at some point because he loves to have the last word on these things. Maybe he can find a few minutes between approving ballroom designs and his next golf game.

President Fatso is a a major idiot for allowing Christian Nationalists to join The Clown Party in the first place!

Wow. Shapiro has the audacity to call someone else an “intellectual coward,” a “dishonest interlocutor” and a “terrible friend” and NOT recognize the irony? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. (Okay. I don’t really know anything about Shapiro’s status as a friend but the other two points? Spot on descriptions.)

And is Ben going to apologize for HIS role in “normalizing” Drumpf and the whole MAGAt movement? Is he really going to do anything to attack the Heritage Foundation? Of course not. I haven’t heard Shapiro criticize anyone in the “Christian Nationalist” movement (such as the late despicable Charlie Kirk) because, as far as Shapiro’s concerned, they’re all fine fellows (at least until they decide to come after him because “his people killed the Savior”).
