We’re at an interesting juncture in American politics. We’re still in the Age of Trump, which has always been terra incognita, a place where the Twilight Zone meets Alice In Wonderland. One of the strangest figures to emerge as a top MAGA was Elon Musk. He and Trump were besties for a while but then they clashed bigly over the Big Beautiful Bill and lo and behold, Elon ran out and announced that he was forming his own political party. Now along comes the Lincoln Project to kick in their two cents.

As we’ve been saying here for some time, this Epstein topic has developed a life of its own. Ghislaine Maxwell was long out of the press. Now, just in the past two days she’s given over nine hours of testimony and talk is that she named over 100 people. Will Todd Blanche release the details? Who knows?
And will Trump pardon a sex criminal, which is what Maxwell is? That could in fact happen. Newsmax is beginning to clear the path for that by suggesting that Maxwell is a “victim.” No, she’s the perp, that’s why she’s in prison. But we live in the Age of Gaslighting. There were literal gaslights on every corner back in the beginning of the 20th century. In the Trump era, it is metaphorical non-stop gaslighting.
So how does this issue stack up?
- Trump pardons Maxwell?
- Trump doesn’t pardon Maxwell but commutes her sentence?
- Maxwell meets the same fate as her boyfriend Jeff?
- Trump does nothing about Epstein, hoping it will go away?
- Elon Musk does form his party, run some candidates in 2026, and all hell breaks loose from that?
- The America party does a rapid unscheduled disassembly — just like Elon’s rockets?
- Some combination of the above?
As I said, a cross between the Twilight Zone and Alice In Wonderland.
