With that information from the title alone, you should know that he knows what he’s talking about. Here’s your quote: “Of course, advance information on US combat operations is classified,” Pete Buttigieg, a Navy veteran who served as an intelligence officer, wrote on Facebook. “Pretending otherwise is an insult to our troops, who all know this. The Secretary is unfit to lead.” Yes, I’m posting a piece about Petey Boy Hegseth, and not Pete B.

So, see what I mean? Not only someone who has retired from the Navy, but someone who was in intelligence! He ought to know. Pete B is pretty disgusted with this mess. “The comment came after The New York Times reported that Hegseth disclosed flight schedules of fighter jets involved in March 15 strikes during private Signal messages sent from his personal phone.”. Y’know, it was bad enough when the editor of The Atlantic was supposedly “accidentally” pulled into a call, on Signal, with advance war plans of strikes against the Houthis. But now Petey Boy *also* did a Signal chat on his *personal* phone, that included his wife (!!! What the HELL), his brother (more !!! What the HELL), and his lawyer (the same). Now *why* on EARTH should they have had this knowledge? It was *active war plans* that he was sharing on an encrypted but not necessarily secure *publicly available app*. Good gods.

I guess this continues to prove that Hegseth is an idiot. But, he looks good on TV!! The man is a major danger to the armed forces. He had two conversations on an app that was encrypted but not necessarily secure. These conversations should have taken place in a secure room, not necessarily out where anyone could see them. Russia already has hackers trying to break the encryption so they can listen in. And he used the app *twice*. He had *no* business including his wife, etc, about war plans. They don’t have any security clearances, so there is no “Need to Know” where they are concerned. I’ll tell ya, it seems like his wife is his security blanket because he takes her *everywhere*. That’s also disturbing in a creepy way. And she has no business with restricted information.

So let’s pop back to the first revealed conversation for a few, shall we? Back in March, Buttigieg went viral for responding to that breach on Instagram: “Today’s news of an astonishing security failure at the White House… is the highest level of fuckup imaginable,” he wrote. “These people cannot keep America safe.” Hmmmm ya think? *I* certainly have no trust in them. None of them knows what “secret” or “restricted” information is. Oh yea, one of the people on the first conversation, Steve Witkoff, was talking to Putin at the same time! Holy Hand Grenades, you fool! Of course, we know tRump likes Russia much more than Ukraine, anyhow, but still!!!!! That was … was … was … I can’t even find an appropriate word for it.

Let’s go with another quote. “Critics warn that the unauthorized use of a commercial app—even if encrypted—could violate the Espionage Act and federal records laws. Sen. Jack Reed, the Senate Armed Services Committee’s top Democrat, called it “one of the most egregious failures of operational security and common sense I have ever seen.” But wait – there’s more! “While the Pentagon’s acting inspector general has launched an investigation into Hegseth’s use of Signal and personal devices, the defense secretary has remained focused not on damage control, but on doubling down on right-wing culture war attacks.” Well, that makes less than no sense.

The Atlantic’s Editor-in-Chief had morals, which the administration doesn’t seem to have. He wasn’t going to publish the actual first chat, just the people who were in it, and enough to show he knew what he was talking about, but then his credibility was questioned, so he had to prove it. And well he did prove it! But He Was Not Going To. That’s pretty major in my eyes. It just kicked the people in the chat’s asses again. I’m running out of words to suitably describe them. Idiot just isn’t strong enough anymore. And this “there was no classified information in the chat”? (For either one?) Baloney.

SECDRUNK has been driving me nuts from the first time I saw him, let alone when he opened his mouth to talk. He ranks right up there with Brainworm Bobby and Tulsi-the-Russian-Agent Gabbard. These are horrible people to have in the Cabinet. I have to keep reminding myself that Agent Orange chose people whose loyalty was to him, not to the United States. And we haven’t even hit 100 days yet. I hope we can survive 4 years of El Presidente Imbécil & Company.

  1. I’m sorry Susan…I’m standing with W.C. Fields on this one. It’s not his fault. He’s only following his master, who kept hundreds of classified documents at his brothel in old people land. Lied about it despite video evidence. Defied court orders, and walked. Oh, and held government phone calls in the outside of his club with all kinds a folks wandering by. What’s a drunk to do, except run behind the master who pays the bar tab? Drink up Pete…the good thing about blackouts is you don’t remember a goddamn thing.

    • Scott – except it was *known* he was an alcoholic *before* he was considered for the position. And he swore he had stopped drinking. Well, maybe in public. Otherwise, you have a very good point, and I won’t get into Agent Orange. 😉

      • Tongue in cheek Susan. I grew up with a violent drunk. My first professional job was working with deaf alcoholics. I ran psychiatric assessments at Duke and the largest psychiatric hospital in wake County. I know he’s an alcoholic. His word is worthless. His judgement is shit. He’s there to do his master’s bidding…unfortunately; in a moronic, racist country, that has denied history and reality for almost 250 years, a guy like him,(rapist?), can rise to the top. I wonder where and when unarmed citizens will be fired upon for protesting our Cheeto Christ? Only a matter of time.
