The Child is at it again and WHY does this surprise me? Even more pettiness (you didn’t know I hadn’t stopped using that word and its variations, right?) of things he can do because of absolute immunity. Things are done purely because he can. They really make very little difference in the US, except to those who know them and their work, that’s FOR the country, not AGAINST it. There’s a good reason he’s being called The Child. From what we’ve seen thus far? He is.
Everyone’s (not) favorite Mango Mandarin has fired the DOJ officials who prosecuted him. That’s ridiculous. They were doing their JOB. They are lawyers who do their JOB when needed, and this time it was needed. It’s laughable and horrifying that he did this. Joe must be quietly having fits at home watching all this go on. Sure, he wasn’t the best, and made his share of mistakes, but not like DonOld! He tried to do the best for the COUNTRY, not for himself.
Well, he promised retribution, and retribution it is! If I was Jack Smith I think I would be paying for protection now, if he hadn’t had been before. So here we go: A letter from acting Attorney General James McHenry to the officials said they cannot be “trusted” to “faithfully” implement Trump’s agenda.
“You played a significant role in prosecuting President Trump. The proper functioning of government critically depends on the trust superior officials place in their subordinates,” McHenry wrote. “Given your significant role in prosecuting the President, I do not believe that the leadership of the Department can trust you to assist in implementing the President’s agenda faithfully.” Gee, ya think? I disagree. They are supposed to do their jobs as assigned. And that’s ridiculous. I guess the AG has forgotten about how to handle legal issues and “innocent unless proven guilty”. Oy. No, I am not a lawyer. I’m only paraphrasing what *I* know not what *someone else* knows. And you, the readers, know I’m perfectly fine with being corrected.
It gets better. The firings come as the Trump administration is taking concrete steps to investigate prosecutors who oversaw the criminal cases against January 6 defendants after Trump vowed to seek retribution as a key pledge of his campaign, according to multiple sources who have seen an internal memo on the matter. Ed Martin, the interim US attorney in Washington, DC, has launched an investigation into prosecutors who brought obstruction charges under US Code 1512(c) against some rioters that were ultimately tossed because of a Supreme Court decision last summer.
Referring to the effort as a “special project,” Martin wrote in the memo issued Monday that the attorneys should hand over “all information you have related to the use of 1512 charges, including all files, documents, notes, emails, and other information” to two of the office’s long-term prosecutors who must submit a report on the probe by Friday. Special project my ass. Witch Hunt (like to turn them against us oh Orangutan?) is in progress. I guess he knows them so well that he can use them too. The demand for documents also extends to prosecutors who have since left the US attorney’s office. Word is that some prosecutors are already hiring their own lawyers since these filings are so vague. They are “investigating the investigators”. And they don’t know if the new investigation is looking at bringing civil or criminal charges. Quite a mess in the US if that happens. The US Government turning on its own people. The world is going to like that. Just more steps toward the US completely losing the status and leadership that it worked so hard for. Seeing us slide down that road is … sad, at least right now. We could be using a worse word at the end of the next week. 1453 days to go.
******And now, please read a very special message from our awesome boss:******
Friends, I am forced to self-promote and ask you for money. We had a bad year compared with 2023 and the end of the year has been catastrophic. Traffic died on November 5. We are a small blog and completely self-supporting by ad revenue, donations, and subscriptions. If you can afford a monthly subscription that would help us out. If you can make a small donation, likewise. Our only goal is to stay in business and give you the best content we can generate. You are the wind beneath our wings. Thank you. Ursula

I’m surprised you’re surprised. What did you think he would do? You ain’t seen nothing yet.
I firmly believe you are correct. I’ve been trying to find something maybe just a tiny bit positive and I need to give up on that POS. I think I’m very close to losing hope – that I shouldn’t have in the first place when it comes to something about tRump. *sigh* and ooffffffff. Got me again! I should be keeping count.
Susan, I think counting down the days of this administration is a rose-colored fool’s errand! Our outlook needs to match that of Sphincter Face…that he is our dictator! Just look around. We may find out that the Jan. 6 “patriot” shot during a traffic stop was not violently aggressive toward the trooper, but I doubt it! Sphincter Face knew who he was telling to “stand back and stand by.” He was told “you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy” and he counted on that. That scum now considers itself to have the same immunity as its scum master and will never back down to any authority of the State! Add to this, the Big Sphincter has the entire US military as his toy soldiers and his little mushroom is rock hard. He is using C-130s to take a few hundred shackled, scared people (many of them non-criminals) to countries that used to accept them without being threatened! He is costing US taxpayers nearly $1M more per flight than Biden spent on the same flights to the same countries (minus shackles) on civilian aircraft! We don’t yet live in Trumpistan, but we have to behave as if we are fighting against a dictator…because we are!!
‘Things are done purely because he can.’ No, he does things because he knows it will hurt people, he does them out of meanness, spite, vengeance, hatred, resentment. Nothing positive comes from this demented POS.
He needs to be committed to a residential hospital for the criminally insane.
I Need to remember this for another column! And you WILL get credited 🙂
