Some people are sore losers. Generally these are insecure and childish people and anybody who can’t win some and lose some has zero business in politics. Or in a great many other fields. Entertainment is a field with a lot of ups and downs. Law has its ups and downs, win some cases, lose others. Sports is another one. The best people in these fields know that and they know how to roll with the punches and be graceful when winning and losing. Donald Trump doesn’t. He is disgraceful in defeat and even more disgraceful, if possible, in victory. The clip you’re about to see is from Jimmy Carter’s funeral. It’s been doctored, obviously. It doesn’t carry a satire or AI tag. Trump himself posted it on one of his Twit/X accounts.

Now what does that achieve? Why does Trump have to go out of his way like this to crow about how he won and Kamala lost? And he can’t leave it at Kamala, he has to take a swipe at Hillary. This is one of the reasons that Trump is as hated as he is. He has some severe characterological flaw which makes him not only take the low road, but dig a ditch once he gets there and detour the road down below sea level.
Why does he have to do this? There is no humor in this. This is adolescent put down time here. Neither Hillary nor Kamala wanted to be in the same room with this loser, ever, but protocol demanded that they pay their respects to their fallen comrade. So they showed up and did the right thing.
I don’t know why Michelle Obama didn’t attend but now I’m glad she didn’t. She would have gotten dragged into this somehow.
I hope that Barack Obama will reply to this but I’m thinking that maybe he won’t because he’s worried that to do so would fan the flames of division even more. But I hope he does reply and say this is phony because we all need to call Trump out when he does things like this.
This is the week before the Inauguration and rather than return to D.C. with some dignity and attempt to behave in a manner befitting a U.S. president, he’s trolling the candidates he beat (and Joe and Jill Biden as well) on social media.
Stupid is as stupid does and vicious is as vicious does. I guess Trump is unable to comprehend when he does something like this that all it does is make him look so much less than the people he’s disparaging. That has to be the case. And that is one hell of a blind spot to have.
And once again I remind you, there are children growing up now and seeing this kind of behavior from not only an adult, but supposedly an adult deserving of their highest respect. They are learning that it’s okay to be a schoolyard bully.
