Standards at Mar-a-Lago are falling so fast that it’s actually preferable to have Lara Trump on stage than some of the other *performers* that were there on New Year’s Eve and the picture above tells you why. A dirty flag hanging off a mic stand is an illegal, not to mention ugly, image. It’s unconscionable that anybody would throw a *party* with this on stage, let alone the president-elect of the United States. But maybe it’s an omen. At the very least it, along with the Tesla cybertruck exploding in front of the Vegas Trump Hotel, is a perfect metaphor for 2025.
And who knows if we’ll even have this flag soon? Fox News is talking about a 51st star on the flag, representing Canada (yes, they’ve chosen to chime in on that fantasy conspiracy theory) but we could have the hammer and sickle. The hammer and sickle represents proletarian solidarity and very probably the MAGAs could be sold on it. If you can sell Trump to these people, you can sell them anything.

And while you’re here, here’s a video of the audience walking out while Lara Trump was “singing.” That must have been some real shindig there last night, Melania with a weird fitting dress that a photographer said made her look “like a biscuit tin broken open” (And like her biscuits were falling out, but he had the grace not to say that.) I personally thought that dress looked like shit too. But it was the perfect dress to wear while swaying, while Lara caterwauled.

Alexander Smirnov was the FBI informant who pled guilty to lying to the FBI about a phony bribery scheme involving Joe Biden and Hunter Biden. I don’t even want to think what might have been cooked up at Mar-a-Lago last night.
But let us give thanks for one thing, especially those of you who are reading this in Florida: Lara Trump won’t be your next senator. That is no small achievement considering the way things have been going. And Matt Gaetz is out of politics. He might return to Florida state politics but at least he’s out of the House. We must give thanks for small blessings.

🤬😢 It is one of my biggest peeves that the “true patriots” 💩 in this country violate the flag code in every way, every day! They hug them and autograph them (Trump)!; they wear them, dirty them, leave them unlit at night, raise and lower them improperly, and fly them at half-staff whenever they feel like it (a local police officer was killed…tragic, but this is THE COUNTRY’S FLAG, there are rules)!! And, companies and corporations buy ever bigger flags to outdo each other. I have never seen an oversized flag handled correctly…I’m talking to you NFL. A team brings out a football field-sized US flag with dozens of people around it to hold it high, supposedly! When unfurling, carrying, and furling again, the flag will inevitably get dragged on the ground…how f’ing patriotic!! And, of course, whatever your ideology or cause, you must desecrate the US flag by making it a different color or putting somebody’s name or face or gun on it, or fly it upside down when not an emergency!! ‘Cause patriotism…yah, sure Jan!! 🤯🤬
