This makes complete sense. Trump couldn’t let things lie with a decent condolence to the Carter family, (which he made about himself, of course.) No, he had to come back later and post about how he “disagreed” with Jimmy Carter. That’s a line of total bullshit. Trump was not interested in politics when Carter was in the White House. Trump didn’t develop his line of bull about politics until much later and then he talked about running for president after The Apprentice started in 2004.
Prior to that Trump was far more interested in hanging out with his buddy, Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein claimed he was Trump’s “closest friend” and he said that Trump first had sex with Melania on his plane, the “Lolita Express.” But of course Trump claims to be an elder statesman now, as though he had spent his life in politics like so many people we know. Trump probably doesn’t even remember the gas lines in 1979 because that was his chauffeur’s problem, not his.

Good question because it doesn’t sound like Donald. Donald doesn’t give ANYBODY “his highest respect.” He respects nobody, starting with himself. But it does raise an interesting question on who’s writing the tweets and deciding when and where to post them. Managing these social media accounts of Trump’s is not a job I would want, and this is exactly why. The trick is to somehow follow some kind of protocol so as not to look completely horrid in the eyes of the world, but also follow the tribal agenda of all Democrats are bad.
Added to this situation is Trump’s conspiracy theory about the Panama Canal that Jimmy Carter purportedly “gave” to Panama, which is sheer absurdity but like the Big Lie and everything else Trumpian, give it a few months and take a poll. You’ll find that 70% of the population believes the lie. And 100% of the right-wing media following population believe it. This is because right-wing media is an information silo and legacy media doesn’t blow the lid off of Trump’s duplicity, they normalize it and defer to it.
So stay tuned. It’s entirely possible that more Carter condolence communiques will be catapulted into cyberspace, each one more critical than the last so that Trump can maintain his Panama Canal conspiracy theory. Carter didn’t respond to it a few weeks ago when it first arose, because he was on his death bed, but now everything Carter has said and done is going to be gone over in days to come. Including the Panama Canal. And Donald is not one bit happy about that.

There’s always somebody who’s willing to scrawl on the symbol; to pull it down; to smash it up; to smear it with shit; to set it on fire; or to make subtle and creative change to it that creates a new symbol …” Trump tries all of the above, in his own reptilian self serving way, but will come to fail, for sure. It’s only a matter of time before he succumbs to the destruction of his own doing. As Picasso alludes to the act of creation is always first and foremost an act of destruction. Trump is doing his best to destroy and artfully install his vision, but in doing so provides the gunpowder for those that will bring about future change so as to facilitate his eventual loss and ‘flat line’ symbol.
Just wait, soon tRUMP will not tolerate all this constant attention given to Jimmy Carter. He will certainly have to throw some monkey poop about himself at the press to gain back the lime light! It’s all “me, me, me…..look at ME”
