Oh, my. 2024 is truly going out with a bang and a whimper. How are both possible? Because MAGA is up in arms and that’s the bang and Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have overstepped their bounds and overshot their own mouths and now that’s coming back to bite them in the ass. So all they can do is put their tails between their legs and whimper and this they were not expecting. They took Trump’s “mandate” bullshit a little too literally. Musk, in particular, is enraged that he’s getting the pushback that he is. He lashed out yesterday to people, saying “Go fuck yourself in the face,” and then deleted the tweet. I said here yesterday maybe it was fake because I couldn’t find it and we always tell the truth around here, even if lies are more entertaining.

But as of today, enough credible sources have come forth with the screen shot (most recently Ron Filipkowski of Meidas Touch) and so this is a real thing. Musk isn’t telling people, he’s being told and he is not used to that paradigm. In fact, that’s the dead opposite of what he’s used to. He’s used to the “Jump! How high?” way of doing business and that’s not how politics rolls. So Elon is becoming increasingly enraged and Vivek just looks flat out stupid.

There is no love lost between Steve Bannon and Elon Musk. That has been the case for many a moon now. And all of these videos from the past are resurfacing. Just watch. You’ll be deluged by them pretty soon.

So this is the state of play. And of course Trump has been mute up until now. Which people, particularly in MAGA, were seeing as a bad thing. Actually, it was a good thing. Because Trump doesn’t know the H1-B visa from a hole in the ground and he’s just spouting off — to Musk’s disadvantage.

This is exploding in Trump’s face, yet all he has to contribute is that he doesn’t use H1-B visa people because they’re geniuses, he uses them to cut the grass — thereby undercutting the argument of the man who gave him $277 million to get elected and his Indian sidekick.

No wonder Musk is livid. He bought a president, expecting that all he had to do was sit in a canvas chair, like any director, and give orders going forward. It’s not happening that way. He was expecting pushback from the left, certainly, but not from MAGA itself. Surprise, surprise.

  1. The whole rogues gallery deserve each other. They should get used to each other as they’ll spend eternity together. I believe it was William Burroughs who quipped: if an alien came to earth, the first demand would be I want to see the manager.
