You saw what the once and future president posted in his social media accounts this morning, a tirade against his enemies, basically. Now, he’s building on that with a M.A.D. Magazine-level version of the facts of political issues which he himself has created out of whole cloth. One thing you can depend upon in a Trump presidency, fact checkers will find no lack of work. Trump lies like the rest of us breathe. Here, for your Xmas joy, is the latest misinformation-laced ravings of the dementia patient soon to helm our government.

I don’t know where he’s pulling the figure 38,000 from. I guess he just likes the sound of the number or something. Also, you notice that Trump doesn’t know the difference between a pardon and a commutation. As to why he keeps pushing the same tired joke about Canada becoming a state, your guess is as good as mine. What’s liable to happen is that Canada is going to shut off the lights to certain portions of the U.S. but only in Trump’s fantasy is there any hope of statehood.

I can only assume that he envies Justin Trudeau because Trudeau is everything Trump is not, namely young, smart, handsome, athletic, and decent. I think that’s why Trump finds great joy in demeaning the Prime Minister. That’s assuming Trump finds joy in anything. Right now all he’s doing is acting out childishly, on cue.

It is utterly horrifying. I do plan to travel abroad again before I depart this veil of tears. And I cringe at the inevitable question, “What do you think of Donald Trump?” As a young person, particularly traveling in Ireland, I would get asked, “What do you think of John F. Kennedy?” The first time I was in Ireland was 1972 and JFK had been gone less than a decade. He was very much in the minds of the Irish, still. And I anticipate that Trump will remain in peoples’ minds for a long while to come, although for completely opposite reasons.

I never thought I would be ashamed to be an American but that day has come. The idiots in this country outnumber the smart people. And I cannot forgive the people who are eligible to vote but disenfranchise themselves. I think we need to take a page from Australia’s book and require that people vote. It doesn’t matter how they vote, only that they do. That’s being a responsible citizen.

Apathy and irresponsibility has set us up for the sequel to the last nightmare Trump administration. These tweets today are merely a preview of coming attractions.

  1. Trudeau is single too. Just because you hate Trump & town doesn’t mean you can’t be a proud American. America is more than politics!
