Get used to it, friends. We are now the laughing stock of the world. Although I still believe one may credibly say, “I’m a Democrat,” and get much needed sympathy and condolences. The world is well aware that there are two countries. It’s a shame. Obama said, “There is no liberal America or conservative America, there is only the United States of America.” In his time, perhaps. He was a unifier. Trump, on the other hand, is the unibomber.
It wasn’t enough to manhandle Macron last weekend, now Trump has to renew his idiocy about Canada. I guess this is high MAGA humor. The autocratic ass wants to take over the entire North American continent and that’s amusing.

Don’t even ask if Trump has ever heard of the War Of 1812 and how American forces skirmished with forces in York, (now Toronto) and the Canadians of that era set fire to the White House. He has not. The man knows about television and grifting. If they didn’t have that in 1812, they were ‘losers’ plain and simple.
Trump’s the only one who thinks it’s funny to demean the Prime Minister of Canada. Everybody else thinks Trump is petty, small, and envious. And well he should be. Trudeau is ten times the man Trump is. He’s intelligent, athletic, handsome and a skilled leader. Trump is none of those things.
I hope that our good neighbors to the north and south will forgive the Democrats. What the Republicans hath wrought is unforgivable. I’ve always been proud to be an American but not at this time in history with this huckster back in charge.
And take note, this is another one of Trump’s after midnight posts. And they are the most insane. Either he’s sundowning or he can’t sleep or the alleged Adderall is kicking in. Who knows? But Trump with a phone in the witching hour is a diplomatic fiasco waiting to happen.
I wonder if America will ever regain face after this? Or better yet, do we deserve to? I couldn’t blame the world for rejecting a country and a people who put this rancid bum in office twice. Once was considered a fluke, but this is no fluke. The American electorate is packed with idiots.

The actual Governor of Canada, Governor General to be exact, is Mary Simon. Governor General not as in “51st state” but as in the representative of His Majesty The King at the federal level in Canada. The office of governor general is the oldest continuous institution in Canada in an unbroken link with the early days of British settlement in that country. Why is this important? Because it illustrates the huge difference between Canada and the United States. We broke away from Great Britain in 1776; Canada never did. So once again Trump is just demonstrating his abysmal ignorance and total boorishness. And by the way, Donald, if you can’t annex Canada, why not just buy Greenland? Oh, you tried it already? How’d that work out for ya?
