People of the Nez Perce nation have lived continuously in central Idaho for over 11,000 years. They were once the economic and cultural leaders of all of the tribes living in the Columbia River Plateau of the Pacific Northwest. This fact did not stop the Zippy the Pinhead looking Republican State Senator Dan Foreman -pictured up top – from verbally abusing his indigenous opponent in this year’s election, Trish Carter-Goodheart, when asked about discrimination and whether racism exists in Idaho by an audience member during a debate, nor from hurling expletives at her in the presence of her frightened children and telling her to “Go back where you came from.”
And what did Carter-Goodheart do to provoke this display of utter as*holery? Responding to the same question, Carter-Goodheart pointed out that Northern Idaho has for decades been the chosen home of various white power organizations and hate crime laws in Idaho are among the weakest in the nation.
Both demonstrable facts.
And then there is always Republican Senator As*hat’s own behavior to attest to her assertion.
You really could not make this stuff up, folks…
“Tensions rose during a bipartisan forum this week after an audience question about discrimination reportedly led an Idaho state senator to angrily tell a Native American candidate to “go back where you came from.”
Republican Sen. Dan Foreman left the event early after the outburst and later denied making any racist comments in a Facebook post. He did not respond to a voice message from The Associated Press seeking comment.
Trish Carter-Goodheart, a Democratic candidate for the House District 6 seat and member of the Nez Perce Tribe, said the blowup left her shaken and thinking about security needs for future public events. It also forced some tough conversations with her two young children, Avery and Lavender, who were in attendance.“Having conversations about racism with an 8-year-old and a 5-year-old is not something me and my husband Dane were prepared for,” Carter-Goodheart said Friday. “They’ve never seen a grown adult man have a meltdown like that. They were scared. I was scared.”
Congratulations, Foreman, you managed to alienate the largest bloc of minority voters in your state in a public setting and frightened two young children to boot. But I am sure your MAGA base will reward your outburst by re-electing you.
“I pointed out that just because someone hasn’t personally experienced discrimination doesn’t mean it’s not happening,” she said. “I was making my statement, and then he shot up out of his seat and said, ‘I’m so sick of your liberal (expletive). Why don’t you go back to where you came from?’”

From what I read elsewhere (DK) Foreman started by saying there wasn’t any discrimination in Idaho. After Goodheart replied, he blew up at her and stormed out. I don’t think she had a chance to reply to him. People like him get all emotional, yell and scream expletives and run away. I don’t get why they can’t have a calm conversation.
