Watch Harris and Then Trump’s Take On Ukraine. No Wonder Zelensky Looks Ill

If you put this clip in a time capsule and it was dug up four hundred years from now, people of that era would wonder why there was even a thought that the guy on the right could be awarded the most important job in the world. And they would marvel that he actually had once held it. He’s clearly a moron compared to the stateswoman on the left. She’s making sense, he’s babbling. And the other person in the clip, Volodomyr Zelensky, is doing what he has to do with Trump. His face says it all and you’ll see that, too. Zelensky had to give emperor Trump an audience at Trump Tower this week. And Vice President Harris also met with Zelensky.

President Zelensky is no fool. He’s doing his level best to keep everything on an even keel and prepare for all contingencies. He and the world are holding their breath to see what happens on November 5.

Friday’s meeting lasted about 40 minutes, according to a person familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a private session. Trump was accompanied by his co-campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, as well as Richard Grenell, Trump’s former acting director of national intelligence.

Grenell’s presence at the meeting was a clue that he may play a significant role in a future Trump administration. On the sidelines of the Republican National Convention in July, Grenell, who has been seen as a possible future secretary of state, expressed skepticism about expanding the NATO defense alliance before all current members are meeting their defense spending guidelines. And he suggested that as part of an effort to end the war, Ukraine might retain its current borders, but with “autonomous zones” inside the country.

Trump said in a Thursday news conference that Zelensky had asked to meet with him. “It’s a shame what’s happening in Ukraine — so many deaths, so much destruction,” Trump said. He also claimed he could broker a deal between Zelensky and Putin “quite quickly,” but he declined to provide details of what that deal would entail. The Washington Post previously reported that Trump has privately said he could end the war by pressuring Ukraine to give up some territory.

Earlier this week, Trump sharply criticized Zelensky. “We continue to give billions of dollars to a man who refuses to make a deal,” Trump said during a campaign event in Mint Hill, N.C., appearing to fault Zelensky for the war, even though Russia was the aggressor. […]

A Trump victory in November would probably herald a shift in U.S. posture toward the war in Ukraine. While Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden have sought to show support for Zelensky, Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), have both expressed deep skepticism about aid to Ukraine. The former president has repeatedly said that Russia’s invasion would have never happened if he were still president, and he has repeatedly expressed admiration for Putin, calling some of his strategic decisions “savvy” and “genius.”

Zelensky, who addressed the U.N. General Assembly this week, is in the United States appealing for more support in his country’s fight against Russia. He met separately Thursday with Biden and Harris, who is Trump’s opponent in the November election. The meetings were part of an unsuccessful push to persuade the White House to grant permission to fire American-made missiles farther into Russia. Instead, Biden announced the delivery of more military aid and new air defense capabilities.

I feel for President Zelensky. The future of his country is dependent upon what the American electorate does in 37 short days. Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, spoke on this very topic, “Do we want to be dependent upon the whims of the American electorate?” Macron was talking about NATO and NATO is making contingency plans in the event of a second Trump win. The western world is literally planning on going on without the United States in its usual pivotal role, if the worst comes to the worst. The worst would be Ric Grenell running foreign policy. Who knows? He could be the next Secretary Of State.

  1. One would think Trump has NO RIGHT to a private meeting with President Zelensky … If indeed a meeting was called and attended, it should be well attended by current security personnel and representatives of all things Congress, that way anything Trump says could be used against/for him later without him whispering nasties to Ukraine’s President in another one of his, “Deals”, like before when he would hold up aid, until something was found against the Biden family … The lizard in Trump needs public exposure on the broadest scale …

At ANY mention of Putin’s greatness, Trump should immediately be placed in isolation until after the election, he has already made treasonous-like statements for the whole world to see and hear …

Trump’s already toasted like that marshmallow held too close to the fire … His preponderance of guilt in so many ways lays just outside his front door, ready to spill out into the public like the scum it is …

Good luck Don the Con !

  2. I have rarely pitied anyone as much as I pity Ukraine’s president right now-being forced to make nice with the bovine bitch don-old. You can really tell those who have the diplomatic chops by the fact they can pull off what Zelensky did w/ von shitzi. And to think-Zelensky did not come up from the diplomatic corps but from acting. All the more amazing is how much better a leader he is than even our actor/prez reagan: puts reagan to shame really.
