Once again, friends, we have to wonder about the kompromat that Donald Trump and/or Vladimir Putin have on Senator Lindsey Graham. Graham has sold his soul to Trump and he probably doesn’t even have a receipt. The Devil doesn’t usually provide those, but you know that the sale was paid for in blood. That aching, empty space where your soul used to be tells you about it every day, as Lady Gray demonstrates. Graham has visibly aged in the years that he’s been in Trump’s camp and inner circle. That, too, goes with making a bad decision that keeps compelling you to compound your original mistake and make even worse ones. Graham is the ranking Republican member on the Senate Judiciary Committee and he wants none other than the head of the FBI to memory hole expunge testimony about the wound to Donald Trump’s ear — yes, we speak of the “bullet” that Trump “took for democracy,” that wound, his MAGA stigmata. The Hill:

“It is clear to everyone that President Trump survived an assassination attempt by millimeters, as the attempted assassin’s bullet ripped the upper part of his ear. This was made clear in briefings my office received and should not be a point of contention. Therefore, I urge you to immediately correct your statement and acknowledge that President Trump was hit by a bullet rather than glass or shrapnel,” Graham wrote to Wray.

That’s great, Senator Graham. Thank you for sharing. Now, would you be so kind as to explain why there isn’t a single mark on Trump’s ear now, and it’s been only two weeks? If his ear was “ripped” and all?

Now, I am not a doctor, let alone an ear expert, but if this ear was damaged as badly as the good senator says, “ripped” in fact, why is it perfect now? A mere two weeks after the trauma of a bullet? Is it not a more plausible explanation that whatever flying debris slightly injured the four cops in attendance also slightly injured Trump’s ear?

But I guess that’s not as dramatic or romantic as “taking a bullet for democracy” now is it?

Wray told House lawmakers on Wednesday that he wasn’t certain if Trump was injured by a bullet or shrapnel from the shooting, which left one spectator dead and two others critically injured at Trump’s rally.

“I think with respect to former President Trump, there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear,” Wray told House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).

Graham on Friday asked Wray to immediately correct the record.

“As head of the FBI, you should not be creating confusion about such matters, as it further undercuts the agency’s credibility with millions of Americans. Please correct this statement immediately,” he wrote.

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), who served as White House physician under Trump, circulated a letter Friday disputing Wray’s claim that Trump could have been hit by something other than a bullet.

“There was no evidence it was anything other than a bullet,” Jackson wrote.

But there might be some evidence to that effect, if only Donald Trump would allow the Butler Memorial Hospital records to be released. That’s the linchpin. If we could see what the doctors concluded when they made their examination, we would know a great deal. At least, we would know more than we know right now.

And every day that goes by and there is no release of records, it merely becomes more suspicious that Trump is concealing relevant information.

I don’t like to think of myself as a conspiracy theorist. But there are two major stories in recent years that I simply do not buy. One is that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide. I don’t believe that. So I guess that makes me a conspiracy theorist. And the other story is this Trump bullet one. If he was hit by a bullet, swell. Let’s see a medical doctor’s report on that. I don’t believe one exists, or Trump would be leading with the report. He’d be waving copies of it around at rallies. The doctors would be doing sound bites on Fox News, are you kidding?

What I believe happened, is that Trump was slightly injured, as were the four Butler, Pennsylvania motorcycle cops who were a few feet away from him. I would like to see their medical reports and Trump’s medical report.

The story of the four motorcycle cops was underplayed and ignored for an entire week. Josh Marshall spoke out about it and we spoke out about it here. Then, magically, Christopher Wray mentions it in Congress, and kabooom! Suddenly it’s a story now! The New York Times, Daily Beast, all of them, they’re all running stories like crazy, up down and sideways, whereas the entire week before all you heard was crickets.

Axios had the story the first day, but their reporter chose to delete the tweet about shards of glass and just let the Trump Truth Social post be the governing narrative. That an inveterate liar was allowed to get ahead of the story like this tells me everything I never wanted to learn about the mainstream media in this country and how they kowtow to power, not speak truth to it.

Let’s see where this goes next. I am not optomistic.

  1. My question for Ronnie QUACK Johnson QUACK (aka Dr, Feelgood) is how did he arrive at his diagnosis without examining the patient???

Is he the attending physician at MAGAt-Lardo, hopping on a plane from Texas every time Manhattan Fats has a hangnail???

The smell from this one has a stunning resemblance to the smell of the stables at Churchill Downs.

    • Just a point but Jackson’s also a member of the US House so he might be doing his “hopping on a plane” from DC just as often as from Texas.

    • TMZ reported that Johnson hasn’t been a LICENSED md since 2020! I can’t imagine how he could be attending trump or was he just acting like he was by making these statements.

  2. I remain convinced that if Trump’s itty bitty wound was, like the cop’s from shrapnel it was made up either of fragments of the aluminum railing of the grandstand with maybe some tiny bullet fragments mixed in or pieces of the skull of the guy who died from a shot to the head which from what I can discern he might well have been struck by the first shot. I wish the possibility of glass had never been mentioned because as the teleprompter than might have been struck and sent tiny shards flying clearly wasn’t hit. Being able to quickly debunk the “glass from the teleprompter” theory resulted in few people willing to talk about, much less investigate other potential sources of shrapnel. Or maybe someone was holding a water bottle made of hard plastic or steel and the bulllet passed through it and tumbled off to who the hell knows where but sent shrapnel flying towards the podium area.

In the end I think it’s quite a bit more likely than not that the nick on Trump’s ear was caused b shrapnel. I doubt any hospital report could give reasonable evidence one way or the other.

  3. I’m with you about this story and Epstein. Never bought the suicide angle for an instance. And this, tRump swatted at the side of his head when it happened. I think if a bullet had hit his ear, his head would have jerked, there would have been more reaction. And now it’s all healed, fine and dandy? Give me a break. Another staged moment for the felon. And Lindsey? What the hell happened to you, man?
