I’m sure you’ve picked up by now that I am obsessed with this subject and that’s going to be the case until we actually get a clear answer from the FBI or somebody as to what happened on July 13 when Donald Trump was allegedly “shot” in the ear, or to quote him, “took a bullet for democracy.” The following video shows a dummy being shot in the ear with the same caliber of bullet which was in the gun that the shooter used at the Butler, Pennsylvania rally. You’ll see what happens when the ear is “grazed” and you can compare it against the footage of Trump saying, “Oh,” and touching his own ear. I said that day that he wasn’t shot. Then a few days ago a report came out from Talking Points Memo. Josh Marshall cited a local Pennsylvania television news story about four cops who were standing feet away from Trump and who were hit by flying debris and “slightly injured.” That is what happened to Trump, I believe. Where are the burn marks, if Trump was hit by a bullet? He wasn’t. He was hit by the same flying debris that injured the four cops — I believe. And right now my theory fits the facts of Trump’s actual injury, better than his lie of “taking a bullet” does. And I would love to know why something this simple and basic just can’t be reported in the mainstream media as being the case. We know full well why Trump didn’t want to be straightforward about it. He wanted to play the martyr because this happened on Saturday and the following Monday was the start of the Republican National Convention.
So how to make a big splash but to survive an assassination attempt? To talk about being “shot?” He wasn’t shot. Ronald Reagan was shot, JFK was shot and had his skull blown open. Trump was slightly injured from debris.
Congress has been investigating the assassination attempt, thank God. Maybe now, using the subpoena power of Congress, actual medical records can be released. I don’t know the HIPAA laws on this, whether the public’s right to know supersedes the privacy of an individual, who is claiming to have been “shot.” I would think that public utility would override an individual’s right to privacy but admittedly, I’m completely guessing here. Like so many things Trumpian, it’s yet another case of first impression. Any normal person would have reported the truth, saying things like “I was so lucky to have been hit by debris, I could have been shot.” Trump is not a normal person.
It is germane to know if Trump was shot or merely slightly injured by flying debris, like the four cops were. The perspective of that day would change. He’s not a “martyr” “protected by an angel,” as has been said. And that’s what he would have you believe. Rather, he is a bystander, like the cops, who got sprayed with some shrapnel and sustained slight injuries.
It’s important for the American people to know the truth. And it’s equally important that the mainstream media strive for accuracy in a situation like this. It’s irresponsible, as Josh Marshall pointed out, to take the word of a liar like Donald Trump on an occasion like this one, where he was clearly self-aggrandizing.
We need to know the truth. Hopefully, Christopher Wray can provide us with that, and then Trump is going to look like the fantasy creating and self-serving baby that he is, claiming he “took a bullet for democracy,” when he got hit by a piece of plastic and was slightly bloodied.

Let me say some things – AGAIN.
I was trained (well trained – as in the Marines) all about the M-16 and the civilian version AR-15 variant is the same except as manufactured the latter cannot fire in full automatic mode. (Well, not without a conversion kit, or if the sear in the trigger mechanism breaks – rare but it can happen but then the weapon can ONLY fire automatic) The variants are functionally the same. The 5.56mm NATO round used in the old M-16s had a muzzle velocity of 3250fps. FPS is feet per second btw. (yes, it can vary slightly up or down by 50fps for various reasons but I want to keep this as simple as I can) Prior to that military weapons were .30 caliber and fired at the same speed as most high velocity hunting rounds – 2800 fps. The extra 400fps makes a world of difference when it strikes something like a human or animal (or a good ballistics gel with or without a simulated skeleton in it) because it caused a cavitation track 3.5-4 inches wide. The older .30 caliber high velocity rounds (think the M-14 which was replaced by the M-16 or it’s predecessor, the venerable M-1 Garand, as well as high velocity hunting rounds) creates a wound track not much larger than the diameter of the bullet. So, even though the 5.56 round is smaller it strikes with significantly more force. So does the .223 caliber version.
What’s the difference between the 5.56mm and .223 cal. rounds? The bullets are identical. The casings are slightly different because the gunpowder load is. This means the .223 can have slightly less (100fps give or take) muzzle velocity but are usually still in the 3200fp range. Even if down towards “only” 3100fps that’s still enough to create that wide cavitation wound track as any ER doctor or surgeon who’s treated actual patients (or pathologist who’s autopsied one. Or for that matter deer hunter who’s scored hits with both a regular .30 cal hunting round at 2800fps and also a 5.56mm/.223 and instead of hitting the chest cavity of the deer has struck the meat of a shoulder or haunch – lots of ruined meat with their billy-bad-ass Rambo wannabe assault rifle. What matters is that high velocity bullets still retain most of their velocity at 150 yards.
Whew! I could go into even more detail about all that but I think that covers what people need to know and more importantly understand. I will also say that an actual strike, even though (and I emphasize THROUGH) an ear which is made up of cartilage covered by a thin layer of skin (except for the earlobe) would cause someone’s head to visibly jerk if not spin them, perhaps even knock them off balance. And for damn sure would cause some instant and serious PAIN. (not to mention a whole lot more blood and easily visible significant tissue damage) You’ve seen the video. Trump barely noticed. His reaction was more like someone who’d been stung by a bee at most. Or maybe some teacher in grade school “flicking” a kid’s ear from behind. Stings a bit but could evoke exactly the “Oh!’ and holding one’s hand up to their ear just like we saw Trump do.
Now, I have to say again sometimes people ARE incredibly lucky and barely, and I do mean BARELY get nicked or grazed, or “creased” by a bullet. It stings for sure and can (usually does) leave a very slight wound. If someone happens to have a bit of adrenaline flowing (like say an egomanic starting to soak up his “fix”/some love from an adoring crowd it’s quite plausible they’d barely notice at first. Again, consistent with the reaction we saw from Trump. IF he was that lucky (he’s had way the hell more than his share in his miserable life!) so as to barely get grazed/nicked.
It DOES happen. It’s rare but there have been plenty of people treated for such wounds, with doctors thinking “this is one effing lucky person.”
Having said all that, given the angles it’s quite possible and I believe more likely that like those cops a few feet away Trump was struck by shrapnel. Most likely from a bullet hitting the railing of the grandstand. Or a more gruesome possibility, skull fragments from the guy who died from a shot to his head. That WOULD send some skull fragments flying and at enough velocity to wound other people. So in the end I’m of the belief that like those four cops Trump was struck by debris/shrapnel and NOT grazed or nicked by a bullet.
I love reading your comments Denis. Some I already knew and it reminded me of my favorite uncle. But even I knew that he hadn’t been hit/grazed by a bullet. As you noted those who hunt would know this, and I come from a family that did hunt. Thank you Denis.
Been saying since the stage event he did not get hit, nicked, or grazed by anything even similar to a bullet. I am still of the opinion he did not get injured at all, nor was he supposed to, during his little staged event–might have been something stupidly planned (given the team doing it this makes a great deal of sense) in haste which is why there are dead/injured people today from his little act. I will say this again as well-if his s.s. detail was in on this they need to be in prison and if they weren’t, they still need to be fired. I would be devastated if anything even close to this happened to President Biden–a man who actually matters.
We know the behavior he exhibits. If ANYTHING were to graze him anywhere on his body he would be screaming and crying, on the ground, like a two year old throwing a tantrum. You cannot convince me, nor a lot of folks, he would act in any other way were he to actually get injured.
I’m going to stand by my premise–he used a package of red dye used by actors. We’re never going to see any doctor report outside of dr. feelgood’s “report”.

Shards hit Trump…unfortunately, bullets killed one of his followers, and seriously injured others. Trump will sue if anyone tells the truth.
Without Trump’s permission, the doctor and hospital cannot release any information on the injuries he sustained at the attempted assassination. His doctor invoked HIPAA when he spoke with the press. Which means unless Donnie Dumb@$$ gives permission, we will.never know what actually happened and how seriously he was hurt or the source of the injury.
I think his being a Pres. candidate, we the people should be entitled to the Truth and not just have to take Dr feelgood’s word for it!
