You know, there are times when I swear that the only reason that MAGA members of congress bother to get married is to have somebody to remind them to zip up before leaving the house in the morning.
These imbeciles seem to have immense difficulty with the stupidest things. Cast your mind back just a short year or so ago, when the GOP was gearing up for their presidential primaries. Everybody in the field was desperately flailing around, looking for some kind of bumper sticker slogan to base their national campaigns on. Remember these?
- When Flop Gov, Florida Governor Ron Pissantis splashed on the GOP scene, he thought that he had pulled Excalibur from the stone. He touted WOKE! as his campaign slogan. I swear, that f*cking word appeared in every other sentence of his campaign rally speeches. Just one small problem. Nobody knew that the hell it meant! And when they figured it out, it turns out they kind of liked being WOKE! But GOP mongoloids continue to use that word in speeches to this day
- When the GOP candidates wanted to introduce a racial dog whistle to their campaigns, they suddenly magically stumbled on the acronym CRT. I had never heard of it before, and it turns out that nobody else had either. But apparently it’s popular with inbred rednecks and swastika lovers. It stands for Critical Race Theory. If you don’t know what it means, don’t feel dumb. It turns out that it’s only taught in advanced law school courses. And it turned out that nobody else felt dumb in totally ignoring the red herring
And now, faced with the reality that they have a fat, delusional convicted criminal going up against a 59 year old former state prosecutor, US Senator, and current Vice President are once again flailing desperately around trying to find a way to deal with this new, existential threat. And so they once again settled on a racist, dog whistle acronym. DEI. To insert my own acronym here, WTF?! Personally I had never heard of that, and thought with my pathetic hearing that they were saying BEI. And I wouldn’t figure it out. But then again, I couldn’t figure out what the hell BEI meant either, so don’t feel dumb if you didn’t get it either.
It turns out that it means Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. In simple English, these mental midgets are claiming that a former San Francisco district Attorney, California Attorney General, US Senator, and current Vice President only got her current job, and was up for the ultimate promotion due to the evils of affirmative action.Â
That’s their whole attack line, in a racist dog whistle. Harris became a prosecutor, Attorney General, US Senator and Vice Prfesident for no better reason than she is a black woman! That’s it. Full stop. Just look at their statements. There are no kvetches about her qualifications, her record in those positions or her qualifications. She’s there for no better reason than she’s a black woman!
This is nothing more than raw red meat for the racist salvering Trump base. That’s the problem with a cult, they don’t talk to anybody other than themselves. Forget about the fact that affirmative action was wildly popular, even at major universities, redneck and goose steppers hate it, and that’s all they need. Nevermind that the rest of us are looking at them like a horde of recidivist troglodytes. The slavish base is howling.
If this is the tactic going forward, then the GOP is boned. Sideways. Tonight President Biden gave an inspirational speech putting the very future of democracy on the ballot in November, and the MAGAt’s want to put Vice President Harris back in the kitchen in the 1950’s. That’s why Biden’s speech tonight was so inspirational, it spoke only to the future of American democracy, not the past.
That’s the thing about people. They like to feel good. And if people are given a choice between a message of Your life is sh*t, it’s always been sh*t, and the only one who can change that is me, or a message like The spirit of America has always been that of a City on a Shining Hill, and together we can make that city shine even brighter!, which one would you choose? I thank you for the privilege of your time.
Back in the kitchen? I’d say what they REALLY want is in a maid’s outfit, working for servile wages (no benefits of course) in some white “proper” woman’s kitchen! That is Harris’ place in their minds.

I live in Texas. we don’t have dei anymore. the sad fact is that the young people coming up to do work are diverse. they are looking for signs they are recognized. that is why dei programs are important. one more thing, a lot of affirmative action programs focused on women in the workforce. 50+percent of the population. an attack on dei is an attack on women. yeah I have a wife and daughter.
It’s worth noting that the GOPers don’t have issues with DEI when it works for them. Clarence Thomas is more of an example of a DEI hire than ANYONE but you don’t hear MAGAts screaming about that. And Aileen “not qualified to judge a kid’s art show” Cannon is most certainly a DEI hire.
Never has a more incompetent judge been nominated, and seated, on the s.c. than thomas. I would venture to guess he is hoping and praying cannon gets a seat on it just so he will not end up as the worst s.c. justice in the history of the US. Kind of like W.–he’s always smiling now and I think it’s because he knows he is no longer the worst prez–at least there is trump.

Thank you Denis. That is the finest final paragraph I’ve seen in quite a while and nicely sums up the competing philosophies.
What will you choose, fear or hope?
Well, not to pee on anyone’s parade but over 70 million voters chose fear over hope in 2020 and close to that did so in 2016.
Progressives will always choose hope. Cons will always choose fear. Why is this? Well, for cons, they want to bring back the past and how do you frame bringing back any past but especially the US’s past–you harp on everything being better back in the day. Now, unless you are a country bombed into the stone age (i.e. Afghanistan), things are not better in the past because it is presumed people learn from history (stop laughing so hard, you’ll hurt yourself) and build on that to create better societies. The only way to sell the “better in the past” spiel is to make the present seem as horrific as possible. Now, granted, the progressive spiel is “we can make things better” or some form of that and that’s pretty nebulous but that is why it’s called Hope. It’s a fool who doesn’t think progress isn’t a positive thing and can never be a positive thing but we have to remember cons as a group have lower I.Q.’s, lower education achievements, than progressives.
There will always be people who are afraid of what they do not know and the future is one of those things. To those people, going back to some past era, regardless of how it is seen in the present, seems safer to them–it’s what they know. So, yeah, millions of people are going to choose fear over hope. That is pretty much the textbook difference between progressives and cons-one group chooses hope and the other fear.

Clearly you haven’t been privy to all the infighting here in the states. School board meetings and elections have been taken over by right wing types yelling about CRT. They consider any teaching about races or genders brainwashing and grooming. CRT is their battle cry.
Never mind it isn’t even taught until one gets to the university level and graduate studies at that. Of course facts get in the way of lies so we don’t hear that part of the story.
If you want to see a great example of DEI, look.no further than DJT! A dumpy average looking white dude who inherited his,wealth, couldn’t make money running casinos, is a adjudicated rapist and convicted felon–does,anyone believe he could have gotten into an Ivy League school if Fred didn’t buy him that degree,would be president of a company bigger than a lemonade stand, had three wives if he didn’t have $$$ if he didn’t come from the nouveau rich? When it happens to people of color, it is DEI. When it happens to rich white schmucks whose daddy paid someone to take their SATs for them, it is the system working g like it’s meant to.
