I have to say, this one is totally coming out of left field. How and why we are on the topic of female Secret Service agents being in any way responsible for anything that happened Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania, beyond getting Trump to safety, is a mystery to me. But maybe it shouldn’t be. Joe Biden is getting blamed for the attempt on Trump’s life, why not women in the workplace? It started out with this earlier this morning. I guess the fact that it was from Ann Coulter was seen as a cue to the right-wing loonies and then they proceeded to pile on. My heart goes out to these gals at the Secret Service. They have a tough enough job without this.

Time to chime in here. My impression was that the female agent looking down was watching Trump’s feet to make sure he didn’t stumble, step on anything as they moved him. I’m pretty sure that in a scenario like this, one agent does that. As to anything “clueless” I don’t see the female agents doing anything different from the male. In perfect honesty, why was Trump allowed to raise his arm and fist pump. Everything should have been focused on him leaving the scene, only. And it is that fist pump that lends credence to the theories that this is all a faked photo shoot, staged the weekend before the Republican National Convention, for the sole purpose of fundraising and publicity.

Another small question I would like asked: why was Trump not wearing his shoes? There is dialogue between Trump and his Secret Service detail about him getting his shoes. I guess that he takes off his shoes when standing at the podium and speaking. That lends credence to the theories that he wears shoe lifts. If he’s not in lifts, why would he want to take his shoes off?

Every hour that goes by leads to different questions. But the most ominous thing of all is that Trump is reporting he was grazed by a bullet. What do the doctors say? Because I say broken glass and I would truly like to see that detail commented on one way or the other.

I think we really need to hear from the attending ER physician — unless the person is afraid to speak the truth. And let’s face it, we live in that kind of an era. An ER doctor going on record that particles of glass were found, for instance, leading to a conclusion that broken glass caused the lacerations on Trump’s face, might become the automatic enemy of MAGA just for telling the truth. Being shot in the head with a bullet sounds so much more dramatic and serious than having broken glass graze one’s head and cause a few scratches on one’s face.

And in all truth, it is a tragedy that a shooter was on a roof and that any bullets were fired. The fact that a bullet or bullets shattered glass near Trump and the glass hit him is no small thing. I’m not minimizing it, I’m saying let’s get a set of accurate facts out there so people know exactly what is happening.

Right now what we know for sure is Donald Trump is saying he was hit by a bullet. Is there a doctor who has made that diagnosis? Or is a doctor, who perhaps decided that flying broken glass caused the injuries, clamming up because Trump needs to run with an exaggerated truth for political reasons? And why in hell is not CNN or some major news outlet, the New York Times, whomever, not pursuing this key detail?

I’ve watched this example of Trump’s horrendous disrespect to the safety of himself and EVERY agent trying to save his life by losing theirs if more bullets arrive, and if you watch closely, you can see the stupid moves that endangered ALL of them … His first reactions, show the panic on his face as they try to hold him down, but his drive to be the man he is NOT, forces him to stand tall and do his freaking hand pumps, the perfect photo op of course, the very first thing a stupid, NON-Presidential performer/loser would do …

    It IS such a sad time for the girl out front, she is trying to contain Trump, even reaching up to follow his reaching arm, THEN, as he pumps his fist, his elbow is striking her on the head, she finally bends her head down to keep in front of him without losing her balance and/or her alertness …

    Trump’s Narcissisms are so deep rooted, the lives of his protectors, who very generously have sworn to protect him, even with their own lives, means NOTHING to him … The man IS a lizard, focused on self- promotion and nothing else, the HELL with this country and everyone in it … The importance of the perfect photo-op supersedes ANY pre-defined safety protocols, or even the lives of others, anyone that does not worship Trump’s world is a target for his rash actions and persecution’s …

  7. Let’s get a couple of things straight. Trump ducked down behind the podium ON HIS OWN. He didn’t fall, he did the sensible thing we had been taught by the Secret Service countless times to do and ducked. I’m only surprised he followed someone else’s common sense instructions.

    Next, the agents “swarmed” on top of him, using themselves as human shields just as they are trained to do. (Being part of the division of the Secret Service that does VIP protection means being willing to take a bullet for a protectee. Some job!) If it seems to anyone like they initially screwed up, protocol would with so many agents physically on top of Trump and only hearing a handful of shots which had stopped they’ve wait for a call over the radio/their headsets for a “shooter down” or at least a go-ahead to evacuate the President. So they did THAT right.

    Now let’s talk about getting him from the stage to the car and that’s where things go off the rails. (and opens up questions like you’ve posed about was this real) Leaving aside the issue of Trump trying to make sure they grabbed his shoes (probably so no one could find out he wears lifts) they should never, EVER have let up their grip or remained anything other that packed in so close to him as to be almost crushing him. Why? Because they couldn’t be sure there wasn’t ANOTHER shooter out there! It took entirely too long from the time they had a reasonable “go” to move him to the car until they actually stuffed his fat ass into it and got him to the hospital. Letting him postured/strut to the crowd was a breach of protocol and potentially deadly. VERY unprofessional and had the threat not been fully neutralized potentially deadly. Even getting into the car they let Trump stick his head up!

    Now as for Ann Coulter, she’s six feet tall and athletically built. No matter. Those “girl” Secret Service agents could her ass (and that of most guys) to kingdom come! Even the decades ago active duty jarhead version of me wouldn’t want to piss off any Secret Service agent including one who happens to be a “girl.” I recall a training session a Sgt. (who was my immediate supervisor) conducted for us when our unit got the PR24 batons. I was the tallest guy and could be much more imposing than the fat old guy I am now. Everyone got a kick out of how she took me down. What made everyone gasp is next up she had Mac come at her. Mac (McClanahan) was shorter than me, about six feet tall but seemed almost as broad. Think of a Sumo wrestler scaled down in height but without an ounce of fat. Just pure (and hellaciously strong) muscle. NO one fucked with Mac, who happened to be a very nice guy as long as some drunken fellow Marine resisted arrest. Anyway, she turned him every which was but loose!

    The people on Trump’s detail are people who he liked while in the WH and who WANTED to stay with him. So for that reason I question if they are fully up to spec with training and the kind of sharpness their job requires. But even if not that training is in there somewhere for both the men and the women and that’s why I wouldn’t go provoking any of them. Even the “girls.”

Part of me thinks that if this was staged, part of the reason is that it will give his handlers and excuse to keep him away from rallies and the chance that he’ll open his fat lips and spew nonsense. They need to ride Biden’s bad debate as hard and as long as they can without the cheetolini proving he’s more mentally unfit than Joe. It’ll be interesting if there are any more rallies.

    • Look at the cover this event provides: 1) The RNC will be a non-stop villification of Democrats for “causing” this event. VSIP will be elevated to superhero status for surviving the event. 2) There will be no mention of Project 2025 at the RNC. For that matter, there probably won’t be any mention of Agenda 47, either – VSIP was shot at, so why do Republicans need a party platform? 3) The appearance of VSIP at the RNC will be orchestrated as the equivalent of Jesus walking on water to reach the platform to spew bile and threats. Who knows – he might even name a VP? 4) Fundraising will be off the chart over this event. 5) I agree that he will likely be kept from rallies as a result. I wouldn’t blame the Biden campaign for suspending appearances as well, knowing that armed MAGAs will be coming out of the woodwork to avenge their hero.

  9. Any doctor is going to be in a very precarious position about reporting what happened to Trump. We’ve got that little issue called HIPAA to deal with. Trump would literally have to approve a statement from a doctor saying that he was just struck by glass fragments especially since so much of the current “reporting” is going with the bullet narrative; otherwise, the doctor would likely be in violation of HIPAA laws (no matter the patient is a presidential candidate). And, let’s face it: Pretty much the only medical information that comes out about a President or a presidential candidate is that information which has been vetted by the people involved. (Having the public be informed to the correct state of a President’s health tends to be seen as a “proper” violation of HIPAA but that’s also typically done by a President who wishes to be honest and forthright with the people he represents. And nothing is further from describing Trump than “honest and forthright.”)

  10. My thought in watching that young agent was ‘what a shit job’, to sacrifice your body/life for that rancid piece of dung. That’s not a sacrifice anyone should have to make. And how he further endangered everyone with his need to flaunt himself with his fist pumps, just plain disgusting. Everything about this menace is disgusting.

    • The people on his detail wanted to stay with him when he left the WH. He picked those he liked the most, as in those who did the best job of kissing his fat orange ass. Maybe if they’d spent these years doing more than working out and sucking up to Trump they’d have kept their Personal Protective Detail security skills better honed. That shooter should never have had access to that roof, and for damned sure not the time to low crawl across it to set up in a firing position. The snipers on that building behind Trump had a lot of ground to watch over for sure, but that rooftop was an obvious threat and one or the other sniper should have been taking a look over and over to make sure it was clear, even if local LE was tasked with the job. The entire point of having your own snipers is something called Overwatch and they failed miserably. And yes, I know something of such matters beyond being some keyboard warrior.

      • Exactly my thought…why did the secret service not see that shooter on the roof? They had people on the roof of another building. Are they so enamored of what sh!t dribbles from his anus mouth that they lost track of what they were supposed to be doing, which was protecting that pos at all costs? They should have seen the shooter and stopped him, and protected that pos at the same time, before he had a chance to shoot. And I still maintain it was glass that struck him!

        • Here’s something else I’ve been wondering about – everyone’s seen the pictures of the two snipers the Secret Service had on the building behind the platform Trump spoke from. That raises two points. While they still had a wide arc of “overwatch” to cover it wasn’t a full 360 degrees as those buildings would have shieled the podium from a shooting threat from perhaps 60 degrees or more of the circle while Trump was speaking. While still not easy the area they had to “cover” was in fact reduced.

          Second, where the fuck were their spotters? Snipers always, ALWAYS are trained to work in teams. Shooter and spotter. The spotter’s job is to be more than an extra set of eyes. They also provide ranging information to targets/possible targets and are able to do so “on the fly” but also verify whether it’s a “go” for the shooter to fire. The two train together to the point where they know each other instinctively and in situations like that communicate to be able to cover more ground – as in identifying possible threats. Spotters even have their own spotting scopes.

          So why weren’t there two SPOTTERS in addition to the two snipers? Two more sets of eyes, in communication with agents/state & local LE both within the inner perimeter and the outer one?

          It looks like the failure at the building where the shooter was had a failure of local LE. He was spotted by a local LE guy who’d been boosted up for a view of the rooftop (apparently because people saw the shooter climbing up and alerted them) and when the shooter saw him he ducked back down. And that was that. (Maybe he left Uvalde in shame and took a job in Butler?) How word of all this wasn’t radioed to the Secret Service defies credibility. Trump’s personal detail on the stage should have gotten him the fuck off before shots started getting fired. The Secret Service snipers should have shot the asshole who shot at the stage.

          These are epic failures. It smacks of a lax/casual attitude by Trump’s detail and of Trump himself. Not that Trump is the first protectee to be dismissive of recommendations from a security detail. Many take delight in defying common sense suggestions, just “because.” Or for high profile people who are out in public (and politicians including and especially Presidential candidates certainly qualify) don’t want to look “weak” or “scared” and chafe at many security measures, much less being rushed off stage. Let’s face it, it’s not a great look for a bunch of personnel to come in, surround the bigwig protectee and whisk them away. Even when there’s an actual threat and an actual attempt going on!

          Still, I say again this was an epic security failure on multiple levels. That shooter should never have been allowed to get fully set up in his spot and start shooting. When spotted he should have been confronted. The odds of that local cop propping himself over the edge of the building hitting the shooter with a handgun was minimal but at least trying to shoot him would have kicked off the protocols for getting Trump off stage. And might have saved the life of the attendee who died, and others from being seriously wounded.

  12. IF as I suspect, this was not an assassination attempt but a staged fiasco (regardless, it was a fiasco), the buffoons in the s.s. detail were acting as directed. If it was an actual attempt on von shitzi’s life, then blame for the keystone kops show put on by the s.s. detail goes to the entire detail because they all looked incompetent. This s.s. detail looked like one von shitzi would have chosen all on his own from his cult. I have never, ever, seen such obvious security blunders. Had there been more than one bad actor (if this wasn’t staged-still think it was), trump and that entire detail on stage would be dead or critically injured.

    That display was a shit-show. Planned? Just general incompetence? I don’t know and it’s not my job to investigate which it is. One thing is certain–if this was an incompetent s.s. detail than the secret service in its entirety MUST be investigated. I do not want to turn on my p.c. one morning to read President Biden is injured or worse all because his detail cannot do their jobs properly.
