Something very odd is going on here. Let’s stay focused tightly on reality and just go with what we know. I’ve been monitoring updates from the Washington Post and checking in with CNN for live coverage. Two people are dead, the shooter and an attendee. Nobody has said anything about the weapon. We presume it was a gun. So the bullet or bullets just grazed Trump? What are the odds of that happening? And I’m willing to grant, arguendo, that that is what happened. There are two blood streaks on Trump’s face — unless it’s theatrical blood, like from a squib, in the movies. So was that two bullets that just managed to graze him? Seriously, what are the odds of that? It is no wonder that people on Twitter are calling this a fake.

That may be exactly what’s going on here. I don’t want to think that there’s a conspiracy with the Secret Service but on the facts known at this time, how did he get shot at with bullets and he just got grazed? Seriously, what are the odds of that?

So if the odds are astronomical, as it would seem to me, just on a common sense basis, then what’s left? This IS a staged event? And it’s done for the purpose of gaining sympathy, demonizing the Democrats, and making Trump look superhuman? Here’s the latest update from WaPo.

The incident is being investigated as an attempted assassination, with the FBI, Secret Service, and ATF all working on the case, according to two people familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss it.

I think we are being had. I think this is publicity and donations time. I would really like to know the make and caliber of the gun and whatever “projectile” “grazed” Trump’s cheek. I would really like to know why nobody behind him seems like shocked or horrified.

Had this been a genuine “assassination attempt” I can see the prudence of such a measure. But there are two many unanswered questions here. He got hit in the ears with a BB and then streaks of blood appeared on his face?

I guess we patiently wait to see what happened. Why is my stomach knotting and telling me we are being had and we are totally fucked right now? This is a reality TV actor, folks, and this is reality TV. Now if I’m wrong and all the government agencies sign off on the legitimacy of this thing and we find out who the dead people are and it all holds together, then I will be the first to send an apology to Donald. I’m not holding my breath.

    • And some local Republican is saying “there was a lot of blood.” Where? I would like to see the blood. This looks like show biz to me. Like a squib. I want to know the caliber of the gun and how many bullets were fired. I want to know who the two dead people are. I want to know from what range the “bullets” were fired.

      • Some out let interviewed some woman at the rally-she didn’t even think she heard gunshots. Funny how one side, presumably von shitzinpants’, is saying 10 or 12 shots fired while people in the fucking audience are saying they heard nothing of the sort.

        Doesn’t pass the smell test folks. Just go on like we’ve been doing and ignore the farcical b.s.

        • People see/hear gunfire in movies and TV shows but seldom is it what actual gunfire sounds like. Or often looks like. For entertainment purposes it tends to be much louder and sometimes directors can’t resist showing bit (or a lot) of flame bursting from the muzzle of the gun.

          It matters even more when shots are fired outside and in a relatively open area like this where their aren’t tall buildings surrounding the area to echo the sound. That’s why people often don’t realize they’re hearing gunfire.

          I’m reading this am the (alleged) shooter was using an AR-15 (or something similar) and as with any rifle a bullet will travel at supersonic speeds (from an AR type rifle, 5.56mm/.223 caliber depending on the load the muzzle velocity will be 3200-3300 feet per second and after only 150 yards of travel won’t have slowed down much. That creates a shock wave and a “mini” version of the sonic boom that something much larger like an aircraft makes.

          My point though is in an outdoor setting like the one in which this took place the sound won’t be what the average person expects. That’s why many don’t realize shooting is happening unless/until people start going down with bullet wounds. And sometimes it doesn’t take all that much ambient noise in an area that people realize someone has fired a shot(s) because they hear nothing at all.

      • AR 15 from.a rooftop.about 150 yards out. Army soldiers have to hit a human sized target at that distance to.qualify for an AR15. According to what I found it isn’t all that difficult.

Given how little regard he holds human life…anything is possible. If everyone wanted to know really what happened they would have tried to take them alive. Jeffrey Epstein dies suspiciously in trump/barr’s custody BEFORE he can make any deals revealing dirt on trump…now this drama to make him a martyr. Smells.

  9. So news is coming in that confirms this was real. He was probably hit by flying shards from a shattered teleprompter. According to an eye-witness interviewed by the BBC, the shooter crawled up a roof outside the security perimeter and fired around five times before he was killed by either the Secret Service or police. There were several other casualties.

    So now we will be in for non-stop conspiracy theories and Joe Biden will be at risk for reprisal. When is this madness going to end?

      • I read somewhere else that the shooter was ID’d and he was listed as a registered Republican voter.

        So, I’m thinking “loyalist trying to help his hero win the election.” This is NOT all that far-fetched in MAGA world.
