This is America, 2024. Rather horrific to see and hear, but we are where we are and what’s taking place is what’s taking place. In all truth, the melting pot concept of America has always had fits and starts. If you go back about 115 years to the early 20th century, there were a lot of immigrants from Italy and Ireland and they were discriminated against. But having the advantage of being white, they assimilated into the culture pretty readily. Now we have a different kind of melting pot, that of POCs from different parts of the world, and this poses quite a threat to people of a certain mentality, namely MAGA. To his MAGA cult, Donald Trump spoke tonight. He told them what they wanted to hear. It was music to their ears.

Supposedly Trump is leading with Latinos. That’s like chickens voting for Colonel Sanders. I certainly don’t get it. And this is interesting, considering who he’s married to — and was married to before

He knows Melania better than we do. Maybe he does know how immigrants are destroying America. Or at least Mar-a-Lago.

And maybe this is where the drugs kick in. You decide.

Yeah, get that pony going. And if the pony pisses you off, don’t worry. Kristi Noem will come and shoot it in the face for you. And now the gaslighting starts.

Now this is where his own campaign people are probably groaning. After all, in 2022 when the GOPers took a hit, even Kellyanne Conway was on Fox News talking about the necessity to bank ballots.

You’re shooting yourself and your party in the foot, Donald. Please proceed. As Sun Tzu said, “Never interrupt your enemy when he’s making a mistake.” And then this is rich. Trump doesn’t know how many SCOTUS judges there are. Sigh.

And we might as well end with a little slapstick. Here is the Trump podium almost collapsing.

Who knows what’s up with that? Maybe it’s an omen. Maybe a lot of things will collapse under Trump’s weight and fall to the left. Greatly to be wished.

    Um, apparently, whoever is in charge of the Biden-Harris HQ X/Twitter feed must’ve missed that point because the Tweet the campaign shared reads “I want to thank the six Supreme Court justices, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, John Roberts, Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, and Amy Coney Barrett for the wisdom and the courage to overturn Roe v. Wade.” It certainly does NOT suggest that Trump doesn’t know many SCOTUS judges there are. It only means he’s naming the ones who “got the job done”–who happen to be six in number. (Even the video included with the tweet confirms it.) I’m quite certain if only five justices had ruled to overturn Roe, Trump would’ve said “five Supreme Court justices” followed by their names. (Frankly, I’m surprised he managed to remember their names without looking at notes–unless he was reading it right off a TelePrompTer, which is far more likely than his memorizing the names.)

    If Trump had done something like “the six of eight” or “the six of seven” Supreme Court justices, then that would’ve been a sign of “forgetting” the number but, here? I don’t see it that way and, apparently neither does user Biden-Harris HQ itself. (You’d think it/they would’ve pounced on Trump making that kind of mistake.)

  4. On a more general note, can you imagine the sheer volume of outrage if President Biden went out there talking about putting MAGAts in mass detention camps? (I mean, okay–the MAGAts, for better or worse, are probably all US citizens* but how exactly is Trump planning on determining which Latinos are immigrants and which are citizens? He’s already shown he doesn’t know, given the way he called Judge Gonzalo Curiel a “Mexican” during the Trump University fraud case (Curiel was born and raised in Indiana–even getting his JD from Indiana University).

    *I saw a news article (I think I saw it on YouTube) about a man in Florida–who proudly sported a Trump sign on his front door–who learned he wasn’t even a citizen after applying for his Social Security benefits. Apparently, he was born in Canada and his parents moved to the States when he was a small child and never knew or realized he needed to get citizenship himself and there’d been no “red flags” regarding his citizenship status in the last 60-some years. Presumably, he’s also voted (illegally) many times. On the one hand, you kind of feel bad for the guy but, on the other hand, screw him. He’s in the same position as MILLIONS of Americans who Trump would deport in a heartbeat but do you think he cares? Of course not. It’s affecting HIM so “it’s different.” (On the funny side, he’s indicated that if his US citizenship doesn’t get approved, he’s ready to move to Canada–a country he’s presumably never been to.)

    • The magats are the actual ones “poisoning our blood” or at least drastically reducing America’s collective I.Q. average. Given how many children of immigrants go to college after their parents work their asses off to get the kids there, the immigrants are not lowering the average.

      And why can’t we put the magats into detention camps? Or give them a choice: go to putie or go to camp. I know, we can’t. Still can hope tho’.

    Oh sure: consider this:

    Florida was ‘acquired’ from Spain under threat of war

    Texas, California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, most of Arizona and Colorado, and parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Wyoming were seized by the US from Mexico.

    Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Oklahoma and large areas that are now part of Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and Minnesota were originally Spanish before being taken over by France, who sold them to the US very shortly after.

    Add in: Hawai’i (seized in a coup d’état by US settlers backed by US Marines), Alaska (Russian and bought by the US) and Louisiana (purchased by the US from France).

    Now what was that bit about the WASPs and MAGAts (if there’s a difference between them) being the only ‘true’ Murricans?

  8. He was attacking Biden a few days ago saying he didn’t think the president could stand for two hours in a debate. As usual he’s projecting a problem he has. He seizes the podium in a death grip and leans on left side, in this case almost tipping it over and going with it. There’s something seriously wrong with his right leg and he compensates by shifting his weight to the other foot.
