This is getting to be embarrassing, it’s happening so often. You may recall just a few days ago when a Trumper referred to his idol as “President Fraud.” If you missed that, we provide the tape below.
Then again today, Greg Steube, a Republican representative from Florida, no less, whom we presume loves him some Trump, went on Newsmax, where he called Trump the unthinkable: “chump.”
I don’t know what this new trend is, but it certainly is funny. Here’s a link to Mediaite to watch the gaffe and the host who sat there stony faced, probably wishing he could melt into the floorboards. I remember the same look on Mike Pence’s face when he was in the Oval Office with Trump, and Trump was claiming that he intended to shut down the government, while Chuck Schumer shook his head and tried to explain how things really work to the then-POTUS.
If you missed “President Fraud” the other day, again, this gaffe coming from the lips of a Trump ally, here’s what that looked like.
Again, for the nth time I say, if you put this in a script, nobody would believe it. This would be critiqued as “contrived” and “forced” in a script. But this actually has happened and twice in one week. Maybe it’s a new trend. Maybe somebody is slipping these guys truth serum in their Cream of Wheat.
I hope the DNC is keeping track of this. Seems to me there’s some fine attack ad material here.
You know what occurs to me? Maybe all of the Republicans discuss Trump amongst themselves and literally call him all these names — and worse. And they’re so used to doing it that now it slips out at inopportune times. It is a theory that fits the facts.
