Seems El Pendejo Anaranjedo has actually shot himself in the foot. He can’t stand up to his own promises and changes. He was all fluff and bluster talking about the First Day of the Golden Age of America. 54 is not 100. Did he even HAVE 100? I’m wondering about that since he’s had his first week to put everything through. Kinda makes me wonder. But I’m only choosing one of the 54. Let’s see…..
So many choices! But here’s one that slipped by in the news. I’m not sure anything has been said about it at all. I think it was just signed and put away. “Restoring the Death Penalty and Protecting Public Safety”. Did *you* hear anything? Now it’s time to try and translate the legalese. Ha. Here’s hoping. Oof. There’s some serious legalese and multiple conditions. I’m hoping I can translate some of this. Or I might just quote parts.
Section 1. Purpose. Capital punishment is an essential tool for deterring and punishing those who would commit the most heinous crimes and acts of lethal violence against American citizens. Before, during, and after the founding of the United States, our cities, States, and country have continuously relied upon capital punishment as the ultimate deterrent and only proper punishment for the vilest crimes. Our Founders knew well that only capital punishment can bring justice and restore order in response to such evil. For this and other reasons, capital punishment continues to enjoy broad popular support.
Yet for too long, politicians and judges who oppose capital punishment have defied and subverted the laws of our country. At every turn, they seek to thwart the execution of lawfully imposed capital sentences and choose to enforce their personal beliefs rather than the law.
Judges who oppose capital punishment have likewise disregarded the law by falsely claiming that capital punishment is unconstitutional, even though the Constitution explicitly acknowledges the legality of capital punishment.
These efforts to subvert and undermine capital punishment defy the laws of our nation, make a mockery of justice, and insult the victims of these horrible crimes. The Government’s most solemn responsibility is to protect its citizens from abhorrent acts, and my Administration will not tolerate efforts to stymie and eviscerate the laws that authorize capital punishment against those who commit horrible acts of violence against American citizens.
Okay, this thing is far too wordy to be able to translate at all and it’s making my brain melt. This is why I’m not a lawyer or a politician. I can’ *kindof* understand what he’s saying but not well enough to tell you, our readers. In general, he seems to want capital punishment across the US for particular crimes to “protect” the country. The problem is, I don’t think capital punishment even comes across the minds of those who rape, drown, strangle, and so forth, American citizens. But there’s a bit of a caveat to this. He wants capital punishment for those who murder a law enforcement officer, or **a capital crime committed by an alien illegally present in this country.** Interesting, no? Yes? Maybe?
Yet another piece of immigration bulls**t tied into “they are emptying their prisons and sending the people who committed crimes to the US. We all know this is a lie. Other countries are *not* doing this. As a matter of fact, a number of them are quite insulted that he is accusing them of this when *their* criminals are in *their* prisons. So he’s trying to make himself look good to America when the illegal immigrant population is working, not raping and pillaging. We’re all going to get quite tired of this blustering. At some point, it may slip to a footnote in the news, as opposed to a screamer headline. But we don’t need to forget about this! They may be illegal, but they are PEOPLE, not cattle, to be herded onto a plane and sent back. Yet another aspect of the immigrant lies. There were 8 actions on immigration. I only looked at capital punishment and while it’s not specifically immigration, it ties into the whole Restoring the Death Penalty and Protecting Public Safety EO. Immigrants are criminals, right? I call BS. If I get brave, I’ll look at a couple more.

“The Government’s most solemn responsibility is to protect its citizens from abhorrent acts”
Too late! A certain idiot clown is already in office committing such acts.
Got that right! Thanks for the comment!
From Trump’s nonsense:
“Judges who oppose capital punishment have likewise disregarded the law by falsely claiming that capital punishment is unconstitutional, even though the Constitution explicitly acknowledges the legality of capital punishment.”
Nope. The Constitution makes NO comment about “capital punishment.” None, whatsoever.
The closest is in the 8th Amendment which states “Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.”
And the 5th Amendment (as far as I can recall) is the only one to mention “capital crimes”: “No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.” But, as you see, there’s nothing about “punishment” (aside from a *suggestion* that a person cannot be put to death without a fair trial first but it also notes that you can’t just put people in prison or take their property without trials as well).
But the biggest irony is that Trump doesn’t care a thing about the Constitution; it’s just a piece of paper as far as he’s concerned.
I must say you folks are good with the OOF got me’s! That amendment is interesting. No capital punishment. And “some* protection. Now I *really* wish I understood the Constitution and its amendments better. I need the Cliffs Notes for this. I’m certainly getting an education!
OK, Susan, you gave me homework and I have finished studying the EO. But first…Sphincter Face is not so much “issuing” Executive Orders as he is “autographing” paper that his Project 2025 writers put in front of him! He hasn’t read “Restoring The Death Penalty And Protecting Public Safety” EO. He has been told it will facilitate a lot of executions, even in the States, and we all know how much this guy loves demanding the deaths of people, guilty or not!
Sec. 1., which you have provided, is just the set-up. The law is for killing bad guys and everyone who loves this country knows that!
Sec. 2. tells the politicians and judges who are not supporting the death penalty, or not giving out enough death sentences, are guilty of obstruction and are about to get their butts kicked!
Sec 3. lets the AG and Federal prosecutors know they must seek the death penalty regardless of mitigating factors and the tells the AG to encourage State AGs and DAs to also ignore mitigating factors. Interesting from a guy who says states get to make their own decisions on abortion (yah, right!).
Sec. 3. e) is a doozy! It orders those facilities that house Biden’s 37 leftovers, who received commutations rather than pardons, must make those prisoners feel like they are in the absolutely worst hellholes of the Federal prison system! If we can’t kill them, we can make them wish they were dead!!
Sec. 4. a) guarantees that if states want to execute someone and can’t get the drugs, the Feds will provide. [Isn’t it interesting that during horrific national disasters, states are on their own, but if you need to kill somebody, all ya gotta do is ask!] b) makes pretty clear that if states want to mess with 28 USC 2265, which specifies how death penalty appeals will be handled for indigent convicts, go ahead because we spend too much money on them anyway…move it along!!
Sec. 5. orders overturning of SCOTUS precedents that slow down the killing of those on death row!!
Sure, all of the above is non-lawyer wording that cuts through the legalese, but it is the spirit of the EO if not the letter of it! Have fun!!
In summary, because I say so. Or, because Project 2025 structures and puts in words that make what I want sound legal
Well, OOF, thank you! I certainly understand it better now after reading your “translation”. I think the translation almost, or maybe does, heh, makes it worse 🙁 {yea exactly on the natural disasters, damn} At least I know these comments will be saved so I can keep re-reading them. This is definitely going to take some repetition for me to *really* understand. I so, so, so much appreciate you going through this! Yet more frightening things that 2025/Trump are doing. Actually, he probably wouldn’t understand even WITH the translation. And this moron is head of our country. Well, f*ck.
