It’s only the first week in June. Donald Trump hasn’t been in power for even five months yet, but he’s created more of a stir in four and a half months than a normal president will create in an entire four-year term. While the war with Elon Musk ratchets up, somebody else who is not thrilled with Trump speaks up. Volodymyr Zelensky has a way with words and imagery and he completely refutes a positively asinine statement that Trump made recently.

Trump is unaware of how stupid he stands, per usual. Zelensky and Putin are not two kids in a park, meaning meeting up on a level playing ground and deciding to get into a spat for whatever reason. The park in question is Ukraine. Putin invaded the park with troops. It wasn’t his park to stroll into and he didn’t show up there alone to play and happened to antagonize some kid already there. The fact that Trump even comes up with such an idiotic analogy only goes to show that he knows nothing about children or parks, let alone war. He’s just running his ignorant mouth and whatever comes out is what the world gets — to America’s constant humiliation.

Trump calls evil good all the time. Putin is just one example. And Trump is happy to meet with dictators in the Oval Office and call them good, too. Remember when El Salvador’s tin pot dictator was in the White House and Trump *joked* with him about building prisons for “homegrown terrorists” — meaning U.S. citizens that Trump intended to deport next? That was some statement.

The truth is that American politics is now a park filled with children, all of them appointed by the child in chief and a great many of them confirmed by members of both parties. It’s easier to go through Trump’s roster of aides and cabinet members and find somebody who is competent to do the job he or she is in, because the incompetents are in the majority. So far Marco Rubio is the only name that is proferred as a legitimate cabinet member and that’s because the bar is so low, not because Rubio is so outstanding.

But Rubio at least presents some credibility to the world as Secretary of State. At least until Trump opens his mouth and makes idiotic statements like this. Then I’m sure Rubio cringes as we do.
