This is getting scary, because either way you slice the confrontation between Donald Trump and a reporter that you’re about to see, it’s not a good result. Either he is willfully ignoring the simple reality of his life, that he just had a whopping fine assessed in the damages portion of the E. Jean Carroll defamation case, or he flat out does not know that it happened.
The fact is, Trump is far gone enough mentally to where either one of these is a possibility. And it’s not like this is ancient history or a small thing. If you were asking about something trivial from 25 years ago, yes, a lot of people might not remember. But something that captivated world headlines a few days ago? I dunno. This is getting spooky.

And this last comment is viable. Trump has so many cases against him that it’s possible he flat out can’t keep them straight. I certainly can appreciate that.
It’s past five o’clock in New York City so I am assuming that Judge Arthur Engoron will not be announcing a verdict today. Shame. I was so looking forward to it. That said, it won’t be delayed too terribly much longer.
It will be intriguing to see if denial is Trump’s game plan all the way down the road. Denial followed by a campaign speech. I think that’s the formula. And I marvel, yet once again, that this is the best that the Republican party can come up with to grace their ticket. Simply incredible.
Reminds me of Chevy Chase in Caddyshack who keeps talking while Danny is trying to putt…He keeps saying, after Danny tells him to be quiet, “I’m not talking Danny…Danny I’m not talking…I’m not talking Danny…”

it sounds to me more like as far as he is concerned he doesn’t have to bother with the penalties since as he said he didn’t do anything wrong. he believes he didn’t do anything wrong and in his world that’s the way things work. I really don’t think it’s a mental issue, at least not the way you meant.

Scary is right. This is what insanity looks like. He belongs in a mental ward.
He has probably partitioned it off in his mind. I mean, compared to the potential Engoron verdict, it is pocket change.
