Full Disclosure Everything I know about Florida federal Judge Aileen Cannon is just what I’ve learned in the last week or so, since she thrust herself forward in the national spotlight, and scheduled a hearing for a motion she had no business touching with fire tongs. But now it appears that she has embroiled herself in a case with national security implications, that could make this country less secure.
Hotshot reporter Devlin Barrett of The Washington Post has just dropped an article that puts Traitor Tot’s careless handling of classified documents in a whole new light. Devlin has reported, from multiple sources ether involved in, or close to the investigation that one of the documents the FBI recovered from Mar-A-Lago concerned critical national defense information of a foreign adversary, including estimates of their nuclear capabilities! If you recall, nuclear secrets was one of the major golden geese the FBI was after in the search.
Look, we all know that Mar-A-Lago is a national security nightmare. Trump spent 4 years calling it his Winter White House. But it wasn’t like Camp David, a secured location, it was a private club, accessible to anybody who had the gelt, and the tacky bad taste to pay it for entre to the property. Talk about a sieve.
But here’s the McGunnin, and you’re forgiven if you’ve never heard of it. For more than 20 years, Trump has availed himself of a special US visa program that allowed Trump to bring in foreign workers to staff his schlock resort for as long as the season lasted. And Trump’s criteria was their domestic skills, and fealty to Trump. And even as President, how likely is it that kitchen staff and housekeeping workers were subject to national security clearances?
We on the same page here? You have foreigners from all over the world looking to come to Mar-A-Lago and make a nice buck for 6-8 months. What do you think the chances are that at least some of them were contacted by foreign intelligence services, and offered a bonus as long as they kept their eyes and ears open, and reported back?
And now a thoroughly unqualified, incompetent judge has stepped in to much up the works. Let’s be honest, the best and the brightest don’t get assigned to a backwater court 70 miles from Palm Beach. And yet she stepped in and issued a ruling ordering the FBI to Stop investigating the documents that Trump was claiming under executive privilege, while some toady Special Master mucks around like a bull in a china shop.
Worst of all is the fact that Judge Cannon herself admitted that she didn’t have standing to rule on the case. In her written ruling, Cannon conceded that in cases dealing with The Presidential Records Act, it actually belonged in the DC Circuit court, wherein the National Archives resides. And yet she went right ahead and issued a ruling that has had so much legal shit dumped on it that you could fertilize Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska with it.
This is not a drill, and this is not a joke. Here you have the FBI finding national security documents dealing with the nuclear capabilities of a foreign country, and a totally unqualified judge with less than 2 years of experience under her belt, is telling the DOJ and the FBI that they can’t investigate who might have seen those documents, because it might tarnish Traitor Tot’s reputation! What a way to run a railroad.
Equal justice under the law. The only people that believe that are either starry-eyed first year law students…and…uh…hell, I can’t come up with a second group. Damn.
No shit. If you’ve gotten through school to grade 12 you know equal justice does not exist in this country. If you’ve watched T.V. for the first 17 or 18 years of your life you’d come away with the same conclusion even without an education.
Why is this broad dangerously incompetent? WTF did you expect from someone former guy put on the court. Given the cloak and dagger nature atmosphere that prevailed for this nominee, there had to be a reason. Even one beyond her general incompetence. Now we know.
The actual disgraceful part of this is the 9 (12?) democrats who helped get this nomination through. Those people need to be called onto the carpet by their constituents. They have some ‘splainin’ to do.
BREAKING NEWS: Putin has formally offered to be the Special Master, since he’s already reviewed all the documents and could expedite the process.

Now that’s a scary thought! Barrett is bad enough, we certainly don’t need another religious bigot on the SC.
