I’m about to show you how and why. Trump has *really* been dragging his feet on releasing them. There’s a damn good reason for it. The writer of this article I just read and will be quoting, lays it out on the table. He says the things I haven’t had the words to tell you. From AlterNet:

Bare minimum, he associated with pedophiles. Why is this so hard to understand? Why isn’t this the end of the road for this monster? Why isn’t this the only thread that is being pulled on right now with urgency by our bought-off and/or incompetent mainstream media? Or did I just answer my own question?
He did answer it. It’s … strange how this isn’t being covered very well in mainstream media. That includes the written words and the broadcast ones. The independent blogs are covering it, like the one I’m reading now, to bring to you. Pz isn’t letting this go. Perhaps we should because everyone may be getting war-weary, but anyone we can reach needs to know again and again. This is not something that should fade away.
Thank God, identifying and stomping out pedophiles is not yet a partisan issue in America. An unheard-of 82 percent of Americans — including 76 percent of Republicans — want these files released immediately. And while Democrats are doing what they procedurally can to get at the files, it will take time that we should all have decided by now that we do not have. Shouldn’t Americans know, and just as soon as possible, the full details of their president’s relationship with a man who raped children? And shouldn’t THAT finally end the long, national nightmare we have endured for 10 years, while this dirty old man breaks everything in his blurry sight?
What in the hell needs to be done to bring those files into the light? It’s certainly not going to be any members of his cabinet, including AG Pam Bondi. She’s already involved in the cover-up. Will any of the 1000 FBI agents who were told to scrub Trump’s name from the files leak something? How are we ever going to know what’s truth and what’s fiction?
I’m not sure, *IF* they get released, how much is going to be the truth. Those files absolutely need to be released. Sure, James Comer has subpoenaed them, but he’s on Trump’s side. He’s called in a bunch of people, including, as we know, the Clintons. Former President Clinton is 80ish. He doesn’t give a damn about the files anymore. I wouldn’t either. And Hilary? Pointless. The others? Maybe something, maybe not. And note all the people who were NOT called in.
We know without a shadow of a doubt he stalked girls in the dressing rooms of Miss Teen USA beauty competitions, because “(He’s) seen it all before, and (he’s) the owner of the pageant. And therefore (he’s) inspecting it.” These are his words. Why did anybody think he would be any different this time around? Here’s another fact that never gets enough attention: Democrats make economies and Republicans break them. Go ahead, look that up. Right now, though, I want to know why our president is providing a safe haven for pedophiles. Based on what we know, you’d have to be a damn fool not to believe the worst.
Trump is in the files. That’s why it’s highly unlikely that they’ll ever be released. That’s why he’s fighting it so hard. That doesn’t mean stopping trying. You never know what might happen. I hope we can make it happen, somehow, some way. He needs to be exposed for what he is before he descends into madness. The world needs to know the truth, too.
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, with the exception of one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. OUR side was sounding the alarms about Drumpf’s behavior back in 2016. Between his “grab a woman by the” you-know-what (and does anyone think he cared about said woman’s age while doing so) and the creepy talk about “dating” his own daughter (seriously, all these creepy purity balls are one thing but I don’t think any of *those* dads ever really thought about *dating* their daughters yet you wanna see the Venn diagram of “purity ball dads” and “Drumpf-supporting men”), we knew something was up.
And, let’s not forget how certain people on the right were suggesting that some of Biden’s behavior with kids was suspect. NOW, we know why they were doing that: Good Old Projection. They knew what THEIR guy was so they had to deflect. (Just thankful that wasn’t the carrot that the media followed.)
Possibly he’s not the sharpest one in that particular pack he’s trying to ineffectively distance himself from. Imbecilic imbecile fawned upon by equally imbecilic followers, of who, some, as of now, have sensed, and see, all is not good, nor right, with this imbecile.
