As I’ve been saying for a while now, the third Trump run at the presidency is not like any other presidential campaign in history, including his own two previous runs. Things are slipshod to say the least at Team Trump. The latest, is that if you go to his daily Trump Events calendar, as I do, you will notice that nothing was set up for October 9 or 10. My assumption was that he would play golf. But he in fact showed up at two rallies in Pennsylvania yesterday and is scheduled to show up on October 11 at a sold out rally in Aurora, Colorado.
Now here’s what’s interesting: Team Trump also has a three-day bus tour happening, solely in North Carolina, to drive out the vote, obviously, but neither Trump nor gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson are part of it. Again, this is a first. Meidas Touch:
While Trump is giving Robinson the stiff arm, he appears to be welcoming back Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds who he attacked as the “nation’s most unpopular governor” after she endorsed his primary opponent Ron DeSantis. Reynolds will be campaigning for Trump in Wilmington, Fayetteville, and Rocky Mount.
Reynolds, like Ted Cruz, Brian Kemp, and Nikki Haley, will be going through the MAGA humiliation ritual of having to back Trump after being trashed by him.
This is what it is to be a Republican these days. You’re supposed to walk through the motions of supporting the GOP ticket, all the while smarting from the humiliations that have come before and trying to pretend that they don’t exist. Again, this forms the basis of my prediction that when Trump goes belly up in November, the GOP will begin to abandon him in droves.
Let’s see who shows up where and how much good this does the GOP, in light of Mark Robinson’s horrific toxic presence.
Also, the ten-day gap in October has still not been filled. As of this morning, Trump is still not booked anywhere between October 13 and October 23. He has appearances on those days, nothing in between. I cannot believe this is real, but I check it several times daily.
As Melania would say, “Stay tuned.” And by the way, she’s not campaigning in North Carolina — or anywhere except Fox News, where she can pimp her book.
We in NC aren’t that interested in the corn fed governor of the white state of Iowa. I guess Trump is now scared of Tarheels. Too many black folks who aren’t getting paid to attend his circle jerk. Haven’t heard much from the black nazi. He must be doing homework to brush up on Marx and Lenin.
Mark Robinson is being kept out of the way because these events involve a lot of shaking hands.
And there is a real worry of running out the supply of the obviously necessary rubber gloves.
