“We Have To Stop It A Second Time” Trump Openly Declares J6 II Plans

This was nothing if not entirely predictable. Once again, Donald Trump is telegraphing that he will not accept the results of the 2024 election — unless he is the designated winner, naturally. In that eventuality, then the 2024 election will be deemed the most perfect in the history of not only this country, but all countries, since the dawn of civilization. But Trump, like so many others, is steeling himself for yet a second defeat at the hands of the incumbent Democrat. And here’s how he intends to proceed.

Trump did this in both 2016 and 2020. He is apparently constitutionally incapable of admitting loss or any kind of imperfection. It’s an interesting mental condition. It’s especially rare in anybody who claims to be a leader because real leaders grasp that humility and empathy are such good tools of leadership. Trump utterly lacks humility or he would be able to admit that things have gone wrong in his life as things have gone wrong in everybody’s lives. Failure is probably the best teacher that there is, presupposing that one is teachable to begin with.

And empathizing with other people, particularly adversaries, is an invaluable tool. Barack Obama understood this. He fully grasped that not everybody would vote for him and why but he went out of his way to declare himself the president for all Americans, not just his avid supporters.

Trump can’t do that. Somewhere along the line his maturation stopped at a very early age. The exact time frame differs. Some people say it happened as young as eight years old, other people say he was around 12 or 13 when his emotional development became arrested. But nobody — other than his hard core sycophants — denies that he is an immature, narcissistic personality with a short attention span and minimal intellectual curiosity or development.

So it’s not the least bit surprising that the plans for Insurrection II are being drafted right now. The question is only, what are we going to do about it? Michael Cohen clearly foresaw Insurrection I when he testified before Congress. He made it clear that Trump would not relinquish power voluntarily when and if defeated. He was spot on.

Now Trump is making it crystal clear that he plans to stir up the Big Lie with a sequel to the Big Lie. This is perfectly in character for him. The shock will be if, on or after November 5, when a Trump loss has been called, he picked up the phone and conceded the election. That would be the stunning result that nobody is expecting. Hell, he might even give Joe Biden heart failure, I wonder if he’s thought of it that way?

But in fact, that would be the beginning of the healing in this country. That would be the right thing to do. But do not expect it. Expect Insurrection II. And what will that look like? Perhaps not much. The original insurrectionists believed that Trump would either 1. pay for legal counsel; or 2. Pardon them; or 3. Both. Ergo, they were pretty fearless in how they conducted themselves.

But enough of those people are now in prison, so unless future insurrectionists are utterly oblivious to that fact, and foolhardy regarding their own wellbeing, it’s a lot less likely that characters like Ashli Babbitt are going to start smashing the windows of the Capitol again. Of course, we won’t know until we get there, but one thing was learned on January 6 and that is: Trump talks big about what he’ll do for his MAGA supporters. But talking the talk and walking the walk are two different things.
