Donald Trump appears on a lot of off the beaten track podcasts and what have you these days because he’s not exactly A-list material anymore. Fox News hasn’t had him on in ages. It’s embarrassing how long it’s been since his BFF Sean Hannity had him on the show and don’t look for that to change anytime soon.
Today Trump was on Hugh Hewitt’s show and assured the right-wing pundit that the “sick and deranged” Department of Justice had not yet indicted him.
He also had dire predictions in the event that that changed.
Trump tells Washington Post columnist Hugh Hewitt that if he’s indicted, “I think you’d have problems in this country the likes of which perhaps we’ve never seen before.”

Hewitt also tried offering Trump a way out from Mar-a-Lago search. “Every former president has papers that should not be with them, by accident,” so was it intentional?

Yeah, all the other presidents just dragged out Top Secret documents by accident as well, much like Trump dragged toilet paper attached to his shoe up the stairs of Air Force One. Uh huh. Happens every day.

By definition legacy tends to refer to an inheritance. The word is also used in a broader sense however, such as not a person/family’s money being handed down but the family name or business surviving to the next generation and beyond. Some business aren’t family owned, or haven’t been in very long time and even some that are have a reputation for being solid, and will be around if not forever than for a very long time because they have proven to be solid institutions. SOME journalism outlets meet that standard. Print, radio and TV outlets that have been around fifty, sixty years and with some radio and print far longer.
THAT you dipshit is what is meant by Legacy Media. Hell, CNN and even ESPN barely qualify! Even the now venerable Washington Post was up until around fifty years ago a large but wholly family owned newspaper that was more of a DC/regional paper that covered some national news than the institution it became. So it doesn’t clear the Legacy Media bar by nearly as much as others do.
Those of us who come here and contribute whether in comments or writing or other ways, and even readers who just come here and read and by clicking on this site and various articles are rather proud of our proverbial Little Engine That Could. But Politizoom wasn’t even established until Trump came along and consumed the GOP. And in it’s current form and ownership it’s not even as old as the Trump administration was in the four years of hell it inflicted on the country and the world.
Yes, we are proud of the growth of this site. Unlike you however we are rooted in reality. Yes we dream big, but don’t have delusions of grandeur such as being “Legacy” worthy. If fifty years from now future generations are carrying on in a manner consistent with the current tone of PZ then we can talk about being Legacy Media.
In the meantime, all you’ve done is once again prove the old saying that it’s better to be silent and be thought a fool, rather than open your mouth (or in your case typing) and remove all doubt!
