Donald Trump was not much of a “steward of the nation’s interest.” That’s because he wasn’t a steward of anybody’s interest besides his own, ever.
The process of briefing Trump on intelligence matters was uniquely tailored to him, for the most part. An intellectually uncurious man with a ridiculously short attention span, briefings were cobbled together with bullet points, photos and graphics, so that some of it would hopefully sink in.

Trump, the dummy, made us sitting ducks. He does not understand how the world works. He does not understand how government works. He does not understand how intelligence gathering works.
All that he has ever understood is how television works and that was sufficient to get him where it got him. And now we may pay one hell of a price for this cultural/political fiasco that happened when a game show host decided to run for the nation’s highest office and a collapsing major political party decided to bond with him and give him that chance. The only question is, how high is the price tag?
It was a foregone conclusion that we were going to have an intelligence crisis involving Trump. The only question was when. Trump indicated his glaring lack of comprehension of these matters when he put a photograph taken by satellite of an Iranian facility on Twitter. That was the foreshadowing of what finally took place at Mar-a-Lago.
As to the repercussions of what happened at Mar-a-Lago, where the documents which were taken got to, who saw them, all of that, we don’t know. And ignorance is not bliss.
Former guy had zero knowledge of how intelligence was obtained? Sheeeit, he had and has zero intelligence about anything requiring the intellect given to your average goose. And yes, your average goose CAN turn on the magic picture box. I’m pretty sure your average goose can also rile up a crowd: watch what happens when a bunch of them descend upon your yard, favorite park, etc. The amount of goose poop certainly rivals the shit coming out of trump.

Not to mention, when they came out, in front of the whole world, Trump committed the crime of supporting Putin, while degrading our complete intelligence system … With the shock in the air, so obvious, Trump at once, showed his ability to commit treasonous actions to keep his prized position as Putin’s puppet, letting Russia have gobs of secret info would never be a problem, as Putin funneled cash through Trump’s laundry system, via run-down golf courses, with trump’s name on them …
Trump was SO OBVIOUSLY COMPROMISED, he should have been escorted to prison, that same day … With McConnell and our poor excuse for a senate member, Grassley, apparently blind to the failures Trump has always had, will continue to have, the need to lock Trump up, so important for all our daily safety, becomes a priority …
