War time makes for extraordinary photography. I predict that the image you’re about to see will probably win an award. These amazing images are captured by news people who are there on the ground.

The sobering part of this, is that this Chinese news crew was close enough to capture this unforgettable moment, but, as it is pointed out later down thread, if they had left three minutes earlier, they would have been close enough to the tank to explode along with it.

Just another warning from life about what a fragile and transient thing it is. You literally can be here one day, one minute, and gone the next. Cherish today. Cherish what you have.

The hell with the turret going into orbit. I would like to see it go back to the Kremlin, knock down an outer wall and land on Vladimir Putin’s conference table.

Or better yet, wait until he’s in the john and have it knock down the door and slide in and stop at his feet. Now there’s an image.

I would love to see that as well. And at least it wouldn’t ruin his pants when he had the obvious reaction.
