Trump’s administration(s) have always been Orwellian but this is a real moment in time that must be savored: this is a split screen moment of Marco Rubio being asked about what he said yesterday and him denying that he said it, even though the remark is fresh in everyone’s mind — not to mention the fact that the recordings are easily accessible. Like Orwell said, “The party required that you deny the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” Here you go, Gaslighting 101.

And Liddle Marco would be president, always bear that in mind. Also bear in mind that Rubio is by far the most credible member of the current administration.

Now what is exactly what the hundreds of thousands of Americans caught stranded in the Middle East are saying to themselves. Where do we go from here? The plain fact is that Trump didn’t think this through ahead of time and make provisions, so Americans find themselves completely on their own.

  1. Once again I reference Jon Stewart decades ago during the glory days of The Daily Show: ‘Haven’t these assholes ever heard of videotape?’

This is what happens when a spoiled manchild winds up with the powers of the Presidency. Crazy assed governance by whim, communicated by tweet. Or, since Trump doesn’t use Xitter but Truth Social “TTs” – Trump Truths, which are of course nonsense, bullshit and lies.
