The Lincoln Project is not known for pulling punches and that can certainly be said here. This is their ode to 9/11. It’s pithy and precise. And when they announce that every two days more people die in America from COVID-19, than died on 9/11, it is sobering.

On that day in 2001, George W. Bush vowed that we would never forget 9/11 and the people who died that day. Right now, we are so lost in turmoil, with demonstrations and economic duress, it seems like we have become almost paralyzed and unable to feel the enormity of the coronavirus deaths, let alone remember 9/11.

And the one person of all who is cold and feels nothing, is Donald Trump. I hope that will be taken into account on November 3.
