Not to jump for cliche, but you know the stereotype that if you’re hearing audible voices, you’re certifiably nutso. I can tell you that writers respond to an internal voice. On more than one occasion I’ve been on the phone with Murfster talking about something and he’ll say, “I have to go. I’ve got a story brewing,” meaning his internal voice has kicked in and he has to get what it’s saying tapped into the keyboard.

But what Jon Voight is talking about is something in a different class altogether. Voight is delusional. Voight is not wrapped too tightly and he even looks that way. He’s got a blank expression and a vacant stare.

He recently went online to call the MAGAs to action to “immediately” impeach Joe Biden, the impeachable offense being that Joe took away America’s “glory” or something equally nonsensical. That clip is here as well.

Is that not scary? Here’s the other clip.

So you put these two clips together, what do you get? The guy is hanging onto his sanity by a thread.

Just to put this in context, do you remember these scenes from The Ruling Class?

It’s one short step from believing you’re talking to God to believing that you are God. I wouldn’t be surprised if Voight goes there next.

  1. What he accuses Biden of doing, is exactly what Trump is doing. This alternate reality of theirs is really bizarre to me.

    • The two realities are exactly the problem. Seeing a situation in a different light is one thing, but not even agreeing upon what the facts of the situation are, is something else altogether.
