Lisa McClain (R-MI) is going over to the dark side at warp speed right now. She sees the Washington Township, Michigan Trump rally as her launching pad to great things in MAGA world, apparently, and all we can say to that is space capsules have been known to blow up on the launching pad.
You will be hearing a lot about her later on tonight and definitely in the political newsletters of the morning, is my prediction.

I don't think the issue is that she's stupid, the issue is she's talking to people she knows are so stupid they will believe anything and fact check nothing. What's next, the earth is flat?

You can ask anybody who is schooled in the science of addiction and they will tell you that denial is the largest block to recovery. Once denial stops and a person is able to admit that there is an addiction, whether to drugs, alcohol, gambling, you name it, then and only then can the process of recovery take place.
These people are addicted to Trump and he is toxic. On a certain level this is amusing, but what it says about the mental health of our country is not the least bit funny. It’s sad and it’s scary. These people are not only willing, they’re eager to throw America and all of its values away and embrace an autocrat.

Stupidity, racism, greed, and lust for power know no boundaries.
In normal times, I would not worry about idiots like this woman. These are not normal times. Worse, I do not see younger people getting very concerned about what is going on around them. Women in particular are in a dangerous place right now: they are on the precipice, of losing not only their bodily autonomy, but likely all of the agency they currently have. It is extremely difficult to watch younger folks’ indifference to something that will make their lives quite bad. Of course once it is gone, getting back will be quite hard.
What is coming if people, particularly the younger generations, do not pull their heads out of their asses will not really affect me: I am on the downward portion of life. I’m at the point where about all I will be able to do is watch people lose all of their civil rights and at that point I will only have this to say: “we warned you and you didn’t listen. Sucks to be you”.
Unfortunately too many younger people are more interested in taking selfies at the club.
