This is strange. It’s logical that this took place, because Will Smith’s gaffe celebre last Sunday has been compared to Tom Cruise jumping up and down on Oprah’s sofa and of course to Mel Gibson’s anti-Semitic meltdown. We can only assume that from that day forward that Gibson never went to another interview without a chaperone with an off button, and you’re about to see that demonstrated here as Jesse Watters asks an already squirming Gibson about the Will Smith altercation at last week’s Oscars.
Watch both of these clips. The first one is short and somewhat inexplicable because it looks like Gibson is trying to crawl out of his own skin.
The second one gives you a little context, but actually goes further to show that Gibson is bored on his ass with the interview. Or something. If you have an explanation for his demeanor, please chime in.
Here's the entire interview. Near the end is the clip. It makes sense in context. https://t.co/RXTBRugf48

Was that an exercise in strangeness or what?

It does make sense that Gibson’s strange mannerisms started right when Watters did the unthinkable. It must be interesting to have to hire people to quarterback conversations for you so that you don’t end up having to answer questions, because to do so honestly might result in total ruin. Must be interesting being a movie star.
