It happens all the timer. In fact I myself once caught a case, was selected as a juror, and when we showed up the next day for opening arguments we were informed that the two sides had reached a settlement, and we were released. And after months of bluster and bullsh*t, today Sidney Powell stood as meekly as a lamb in front of the judge and copped a plea deal.

The deal was surprisingly generous, which should tell you something. If convicted she was facing 5-20 years in Georgia state prison. Under the plea deal she will receive probation, pay a fine, issue a formal apology and, oh yeah, testify against all other defendants.

That being said, it isn’t all guns and roses for Powell. She has been fighting a pitched battle to retain her law license in Texas, this should tie a bow around that particular disbarment. Also, Powell has also been identified as one of six unindicted co-conspirators in the Jack Clark DC case against Trump. Smart money says Smith is delaying actually unsealing indictments in that case until after opening arguments in March, when Trump can no longer try to use them to delay trial. With Powell’s admission of guilt today in Georgia, look for a Queen for a day proffer session with Clark’s minions soon. Might as well strike while the iron is hot.

Actually I was surprised at the generosity of the states offer to Powell for the same reason as to why nobody has offered a plea deal to Rudy Giuliani yet. She’s a total whack job. However, while she may need a helluva lot of corroboration as a witness to make her believable, Willis must have it, or she wouldn’t have basically let Powell walk. And as the conspirator identified as Willis as being the coordinator of several parts of the Georgia plan, she can start that rat on the bigger fish ladder that leads to Giuliani and Trump.

And if Smith can flip Powell, then Traitor Tot is in the hurt locker. Because Sidney Powell would become the first, and so far only person who was actually in the room for the infamous Oval Office meeting with Giuliani, Powell, The Overstock dude, Mike Flynn et al, where seizing voting machines with US troops was discussed. Just the knowledge of her potential testimony against them could cause other participants to flip to tell their own side of the story. And most importantly she can conclusively testify to Trump’s state of mind in any meetings in which she was present.

Personally I believe this is just the first tile in a soon growing mosaic. Word is that Willis offered both Powell and Cheseboro plea deals 10 days ago. Sn ideal outcome for the prosecution would be for Cheseboro to cop a plea as well, allowing the prosecution to keep their power punches secret until the main event. But it should start a chain reaction. Anybody indicted who ever spoke or communicated with Sidney Powell is now at extreme risk, look at them to bail early to get the best deal. The sole exception? Rudy Giuliani. Willis will have a harder time finding corroboration for Giuliani than Smith likely would. And unless Giuliani is willing to do a Salome and give Willis Trump’s head on a platter, then he has nothing to sell she wants to boy. And think, we’re just getting started.

  1. Your “… She’s a total whack job. However, while she may need a helluva lot of corroboration as a witness to make her believable, Willis must have it, or she wouldn’t have basically let Powell walk…” is quite valid. Hopefully her spun-off axis and doubly insulated rarely hit earth power tool existence has and is well controlled and managed, so as to be a believable flipped witness. Maybe Willis has blown Powell’s fuse to the point where she’s somehow credibly, gone belly-up and believable.

  2. A surprisingly sweet deal, which may mean she has the goods to put her co-conspirators away and is willing to do it. The question now is who will be next to throw themselves at Smith’s feet, Giuliani or Ellis? My money is on Ellis.

  3. 2 down 17 to go.
And they will all flip. Ain’t no one gonna do a minimum of 5 years in the can for tramp. He sure wouldn’t do time for them.
It’d be in the 17’s best interest to throw tramp under the bus before he throws them under……and he will throw them under. That much us guaranteed.
He demanded loyalty, but gives none.
The sad part is that these 19 idiots were so sure they’d be successful in the coup! They put themselves, their careers, their families and their children at risk in an attempt to overthrow the government and abolish our democracy. Hopefully their careers will end, and their families and children will distance themselves from them. It’s unforgivable!
