Well, it looks like Trump has himself a new “Judge” to be angry with. You’re familiar with recent court rulings that have former doctor Ronny Jackson working overtime to calm Trump down about. Funny thing, some of the judges have been Republican appointees! But now? “Judge” Jeanine Pirro who is now Trump’s U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia is on Trumpty’s you-know-what list. In a stunning legal embarrassment (one of many) she was forced to abandon the case against the guy accused of ‘vandalizing’ Trump’s “perfect” and “beautiful” renovation to the Lincoln Reflecting pool!
To say Trump is furious is no doubt an understatement. Despite the DOJ admitting in court NONE of the so-called evidence Pirro so publicly touted turned out to exist. In fact there was evidence to the contrary! Pirro keeps doing her Casey-At-the-Bat routine and striking out. This is even better than losing the felony case against the Subway Sandwich dude who ‘assaulted’ one of Trump’s goons with a literal Subway sandwich! But by God Trump is convinced the former Olympian who merely pointed out how the new reflection pool paint job was seriously faulty is guilty. Still, it’s over and Trump is pissed off and has to blame somebody. And given this story from MEAWW it looks like judge Box-O-Wine is going to be taking the hit:
In a Truth Social post Saturday, August 1, Trump declared he “disagree[s] 100%” with US Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro‘s handling of the case, arguing that while contractor problems may have existed, “the major damage was caused by VANDALS.”
Sorry, I can’t seem to copy the Xitter version of the original Truth Social Post but you can view it at the link I provided. The point is that Trump just can’t accept that former Olympian David Hearn was a target/victim of Trump legal warfare and that Pirro had no choice but to drop the case. AFTER so publicly lying about ‘evidence’ that never existed. Trump probably watched that appalling (and entirely inappropriate) press conference and was stupid enough to believe enough of it was true that he could blame someone other than his pal the contractor for botching the whole project. On the other hand he did probably get a nice kickback from the no-bid contract he sent his buddy’s way.
But it boils down to Trumpty being embarrassed over the ‘renovation’ which like his stupid war seems to have no end in sight. But will keep costing millions, all of which will be covered by news outlets:
Trump’s criticism centered on the Justice Department’s revised findings rather than the decision to investigate the Reflecting Pool.
“I don’t know what she was thinking,” Trump wrote of Pirro, arguing that visible damage extended beyond the liner to surrounding grass and landscaping. He pointed to what he described as a large “86 47” marking embedded in the grass and other damaged areas as evidence that vandals played the primary role.
While acknowledging there “may have been some contractor difficulty,” Trump insisted those issues did not account for the majority of the destruction.
‘May have been some contractor problems?” You mean like throwing over $13 million to a dude who’d never done a project like that (or at least much larger that a swimming pool) who should never have been given the job? Of course doing things the right way, as in taking bids and selecting the best one from a contractor with proven qualifications to do the work wouldn’t have allowed Trump to collect a kickback. But it is/was a huge and more complex job than most people would assume. And Trump wanted it done in a hurry so the reflecting pool would be ‘American Flag Blue’ for his flop of an honoring out 250th anniversary of our Independence.
It’s a fun article and I urge you to read it. It won’t take long. What to look for however is the countdown clock on Pirro being turned on. If it wasn’t already I’ll bet it is now. So far Trump only wants to fire women. Factor in yet another case Trump wanted her to prosecute and her failing to get the job done and I’d say she’s toast. Hell, given other events he needs the distraction! Of course it’s not like we’ll get anyone better in Pirro’s job after she’s gone. However her upcoming ritual humiliation by Trump is coming and probably soon. I wonder if Fox will take her back…
