And if so, Traitor Tot is in trouble.
A couple of hours ago judge Cannon issued her first judicial order to the two sides in the Trump documents case. In her order she gave both sides days rather than weeks to turn in their applications for security clearances to review documents for the trial. This is critical, since the average FBI background check for security clearance takes 4-6 weeks.
If Cannon was in the Trump tank, and wanted to help him to slow walk the pre-trial motions, she would have given both sides 4-6 weeks to submit their applications, already pushing the preliminary hearing into late August or September. Since most federal prosecutors likely already have security clearances, this was geared towards the Trump attorneys. And at least in this case, it looks like the rocket docket lives.
But the simple fact is that El Pendejo Presidente just keeps giving Jack Smith with fresh fodder to convict him at trial. His lawyers must be desperately searching Amazon for one of those red ball gags that they used on The Gimp in Pulp Fiction. He just won’t shut up! In his pissy fit at Bedminster following his arraignment, Trump on e again stated that he had every right to possess those documents, and do whatever he wanted with them.
And earlier this evening, Traitor Tot once again took to Bullsh*t Social to wonder in ALL CAPS as to when the corrupt President Joe Biden was going to come out and apologize for his weaponized persecution of His Lowness, and when he was going to return all of his boxes to Mar-A-Lago?
The stupid sh*t. Here comes Mama Gump again, Stupid is as stupid does. What Trump doesn’t realize is that every one of Trump’s oral farts is a golden nugget for the Special Prosecutor. Jack Smith can go into court, play Trump’s words, and then read in court the applicable portions of the Presidential Records that FrankenTrump so dearly loves, along with the relevant portions of The Espionage Act.
Then Smith or his associates can play the video of Trump flatly stating that all of the documents he took were automatically declassified just because he thought it, and then play the audio tape of The Cheeto Prophet telling people at the table that he He wished that he could show them the document, but it was classified. He could have declassified it when he was President, but he can’t declassify it now, so he can’t show it to them.
But here’s the best part. Eventually, whether judge Cannon plays ball or not, this case is going to trial. And when it does, The Orange Julius is going to be required to sit at the defense table, and listen to the devastating testimony against him. And what will he do then? Simple. He’ll either get on a phone with DIX News, or limber his stubby thumbs on Bullsh*t Social, and rant and rave about the unfairness of the testimony presented that day.
Which will allow the prosecution to go to court the next day, present all of Trump’s relevant rantings to the jury, and hammer him over the head with his own words. And it will never stop, because Trump is incapable of shutting up!
And at the same time, Traitor Tot, the ultimate legal imbecile, is incapable of understanding that the law is against him, and his petty rantings are just digging the hole deeper. And so, he’ll run out in a fit of temper, and rent a steam shovel. And there’s nothing judge Cannon can do to exclude his own legally relevant words from being introduced at trial. Just sit back, relax, and watch the freak show.

You are not wrong there. I am in Australia and when our news programs report anything about him, it’s usually accompanied by gales of laughter and head shaking! Also, if any of our politicians behaved like your repub. party, they’d be tossed out on their ears.
The citizens have the say here, that’s the benefit of compulsory voting, there can be no voter suppression and, in my state, for example, almost EVERY school is a voting center.
Electoral maps are drawn up by the Electoral Commision and the only changes are usually population driven.
So, in the end, we really do get the people we vote for.
This also encourages the parties to police their members, poor behavior usually reflects very badly for then at the ballot box.

Yes, the good news is that Cannon seems to have read the memo. Her job and career are on the line. At some point not far off I think his lawyers will just pack up and leave. That would lead to a court-appointed attorney and send this imbecile into a beserker death rage. I can’t wait.

I have a different theory; She ordered the security clearances fast-tracked so she can start early entertaining the inevitable defense motions to exclude evidence, including the classified documents.
