If this is the beginning of a groundswell, Donald Trump may find he’s cooked his own goose a l’orange in the White Evangelical community and those are votes that he cannot afford to lose. Not one bit. A Christian pastor finally spoke up passionately denouncing the Trump Bible and you can hear the gasps of breath when it pops up on the screen. This does not bode well for November. Generally speaking, the prosperity consciousness grifters have convinced the rest of the Evangelical world that Trump is sent by Jesus, if not in fact, Jesus. So to see somebody from that crowd lay into the Mango Messiah and articulate the spiritual reason for the wall between church and state is something you’re not going to hear everyday. This is terrific.

If Team Trump has any sense it will take this as a sign to lay off the Bible sales for a while. Maybe push the sneakers instead.
If this gets traction, Trump could be in trouble. He should quit while he’s ahead if for no other reason than the fire and brimstone guys may not like Trump trying to work their side of the fence.

You can’t afford to lose any votes, Donald. You might want to chill on the Bible sales. Some of these people have actually read the book you’re trying to sell and guess what? There are passages in it that make you and your kind look really bad. Better go back and talk to Satan some more and see if he has any other brilliant ideas.
