What a shame Irony has been dead and gone for so long. She doesn’t know what she’s missing. If this is new information, Donald John, or “DJ” Trump really is a DJ. At least on Thursday nights at Mar-a-Lago.
Oh yes, this is truth. It’s much stranger than fiction, generally speaking and anytime when you speak of Trump. That is the world in which we live. Page Six:
Donald Trump — or should we call him DJ Donnie T? — now has a regular gig spinning at his Palm Beach, Fla., club, Mar-a-Lago.
A socially connected insider tells Page Six that “Trump is officially DJing every Thursday night” at the members-only club.
The source added, “Members know this, and when they invite guests they say, ‘Let’s have dinner on Thursday, because Trump DJs every Thursday,’ as an event.”
During all the disc jockeying, “of course he works the room for votes,” the source said. “It’s always a very friendly room, since Mar-a-Lago is serious Trumpland.”
As far as his style, the insider tells us the former president is “on an iPad — usually from his table — so he eats and plays. He loves the ’80s and Broadway tunes — like ‘Phantom of the Opera’ — and Céline Dion, ‘Titanic.’ ”
This DJ gig, in and of itself, wouldn’t have caught my eye. The reason I post it here is because the fact that Trump loves the theme from Titanic and it’s become associated with him, along with YMCA and Gloria, puts me on my ass. I simply can’t believe it.
But I know Page Six is telling the truth. Back in 2020 there was a rally which was blaring Theme From Titanic and that’s the first time I heard that it was one of Trump’s favorites. Reporters were rolling their eyes that day.
I guess Trump’s so lacking in self-awareness that the symbolism is lost on him.
Wouldn’t he need a heart first for it to go on?
YMCA ? ROFL. They don’t know the group is gay. Funniest thing I saw ever was a Dad at Disneyworld with a kid on his shoulders dancing to.YMCA. Dad was either a crazed Baptist or a Mormon,because looked like a missionary. We laughed so hard er nearly missed the midnight kiss that New Years Eve.
The last thing I wanna do is listen to trump do a dj gig. As in everything he does somebody would have to actually change the music and run the system unless it’s a total Mickey Mouse system. Yeah the YMCA thing cracks me up. If they only knew.
