We all want things to be better than they are, we all want to believe in a miracle, in some form of salvation or magic that can touch us personally and change our lives. Conman have known this since the dawn of time. I daresay that back in the days of the caveman there was one guy who claimed that his furs would keep you much warmer than any other furs you’d ever owned, or that his arrowhead could fell the mastadon better than any ten other arrowheads. Donald Trump is the premiere conman in the age of television and no con that he has pulled so far is greater than his faux religious one.

I hope this ad gets gigantic play throughout the Bible Belt. Trump has his allies in the Evangelical and Properity Consciousness communities and they are as crooked as he is. This is an alliance made in Hell and has nothing to do with Jesus Christ.

What was that commandment again? Oh yeah, false witness. Trump wouldn’t know the truth if it bit him in his bronzed butt. And his followers don’t know, don’t care. They’ve got a tribal posture that whatever he says or does is wonderful because somehow Trump has hit an inner chord with the losers in this country. He is one of them and they follow his lead. They want to tear it all down and so does he.
I think the Lincoln Project ad should be heavily pushed not only through the Bible Belt but in all swing states. “Great leeway” is one thing, pretending that a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist is the kind of person that right thinking Christians should endorse is something else. Heresy, at the very least, if not downright blasphemy.
The Lincoln project got it right when they said “Donald Trump is a living affront to the Ten Commandments.”

As usual, the preachers claim that all Christians agree with Trump. That is only true of the poorly educated evangelical ones,,and they aren’t even the majority of Christians,let alone Jews,,Muslims,Catholics, Buddhists,Hindus, pagans.
