The hits keep coming for Trump this weekend. Now he at least has someone to share his anger with. “Melania” the (cough cough) “start” of the NOT hit documentary titled after our First Lampshade Lady is plenty pissed tonight too. For decades the magazine’s After Oscar Party has been a, if not THE must attend event. Anyone rich or famous, even if the had nothing to do with movies (that or any other years) wanted to be seen there. The Trump’s included and they’ve attended a couple of times. No more. Vanity Fair decided too many hangers-on/wannabes had gotten on the guest list so they slashed it in half. Donnie and ‘Melanie’ didn’t make the cut!
This one, to quote the line from the title character of the movie Tommy Boy “is gonna leave a mark.” Yes, the Trump’s are again powerful and even via ill-gotten gains rich. That doesn’t matter to Vanity Fair and Hollywood’s elite. Whatever the Trump’s have, class and good taste aren’t among their traits. They have none of either. Plus, Donald literally stinks. I can see why folks in Hollywood who WILL rate being on what again has become an exclusive list that everyone wants to be on are relieved to know the Trump’s won’t be there literally stinking up the place. Melania’s cheap smelling perfume couldn’t, even if she bathed in it, cover up the stench of her hubby’s filled with sh*t Depends!

This one’s got to hurt Trump’s vanity. The president and first lady did not make it onto the guest list for the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party. This came as a result of the Vanity Fair editor deciding to cut the guest list in half to ‘weed out’ the A-listers who are ‘merely famous and powerful.’
I really got a kick out of that last part about weeding out even A-Listers who were “merely” rich and powerful. Hell, that’s what I’m going to think about when I go to bed tonight. Like the New York City elites who never accepted Trump, neither has Hollywood despite his delusions of grandeur about hit tee-vee show. His pal Mark Burnett was responsible for it getting ratings good enough to stay on the air. Trump of course thought he was a Hollywood star, the equal or better of anyone in Tinseltown’s history. No doubt he and Melania have had delusions of grandeur about the Melania “documentary” getting an Oscar. And Melania one for being best female actor. (she is utterly unconvincing in acting like she’s with Trump for anything but money) Trump of course expects one as a ‘producer.’
Maybe they are still in la-la land tonight but I think it’s clear there will be ZERO nominations, much less Oscars for the Melania ‘movie’ which although artificially propped up with bogus bulk ticket purchases and busing seniors to movie theaters on the first weekend has since flopped. Between production and marketing costs (not to mention what you know was secretly funned to Melania) Bezos shelled out $75 million. Even after it streams on his Amazon platform he’s looking at eating $60 million in losses. Well, that’s tip money for him and he’s made it back and then some with business favors.
Anyway, as the linked article explains the Vanity Fair Party had become THE must attend/be seen at event of all the After the Oscars parties. So much so that over time it seems too many people who weren’t Hollywood “somebodies”, at least in a given particular year had made it on to the guest list. So, Vanity Fair made the decision to restore the event to its roots as an exclusive, tough to get into event:

Over the years, the coveted event lost its exclusivity as many more people got their foot in the door one way or another. Mark Guiducci, who is the newly appointed editor at Vanity Fair, allegedly decided to restore its former exclusivity
A source who spoke with Page Six revealed that Guiducci cut the list by 50%. The insider also claimed that the Vanity Fair folks think that the White House is on the wrong side of things. “No Trump administration officials have been invited this year,” the same source added.
Trump isn’t going to be the only one ranting tonight. Just imagine what Melania (from wherever the hell she is) is screaming: ‘Vut ees wrong with thees pee-pol. I did the fooking Chrees-mus deck-o-ray-shuns! I make over Jack-ee Kenned-ee rose garden into bute-ee-ful patio! I make class-ee-ist move-ee ever made! I dee-serve Oscar and een-vite to Vanity Fair. NO one show more Van-i-tee than me!” Something like that. Trump will of course alternate rage tweeing and throwing ketchup bottles.
Fine. I sound mean. But Donny and Melanie are world class assholes. They deserve EVERY bit of humiliation and scorn visited upon them. If Trump was smart, or at least had an average intellect and basic common sense he’d let this go. When asked, he could issue a bland statement about Melania being a great movie that got unbelievable reviews and that it deserves recognition when awards are handed out. As for Vanity Fair he can claim he’s got more important things to do than attend some Hollywood Party. THAT would actually be a rare instance of TrumpStein telling the truth. He does in fact have far more important things to be doing. Not that he’d actually spend time and effort doing them but you know what I mean.
Anyway, have yourself a good laugh at the Trump’s expense tonight. Especially since you just know that Don Jr. and his gal, and Eric and wife Lara would have gotten themselves in this year as part of the Trump entourage. Plenty of dreams/fantasies are dashed tonight. The more crushed people name Trump feel, the more enjoyment I’ll take from it. Because as I alluded to earlier Trump will likely NOT be smart. He’ll make an issue out of being snubbed and vow retribution, and each time remind everyone of his humiliation. And what a small, petty man he is. I doubt Melania will say anything publicly but privately she’ll be telling Trumpty to STFU.
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. Well, this year’s Oscars are for films released between 1/1 and 12/31 of 2025. “Melania,” the mockumentary, was released to theaters on January 30, 2026 meaning it’s not eligible for any Oscar consideration (or, more likely “Golden Raspberry” consideration) until NEXT year.
We know but do you think that will stop Trump from demanding special treatment? Or, assuming Mother Nature hasn’t turned him into worm food him demanding it again a year from now when this ghastly piece of shit attempt to glamorize Melania is actually eligible?
Maybe it’s just me, but I would have never guessed the Trumps were “A list” people, and especially not now.
