No, I don’t know how much this guy was paid anymore than I know how much Michaelah Montgomery, the Black woman Trump said he was going to leave Melania for, was paid for saying Trump *saved* her Black college. But whatever it was, it was worth it, because this is comical. Wherever they found this guy, he is supposed to speak not only for Black America but for New York and New Jersey. They are both turning red in the fall. We don’t mean the leaves, we mean the politics. Uh huh.

I think Trump needs to start wearing a bra. Those nipples are positively protuberant. The Pillsbury Dough Boy physique is bad enough but with the man boobs, OMFG. I may have nightmares. Forgive me, I should have posted a trigger warning. Oh well, you can’t unsee it now. The damage is done.

In 2020 Joe Biden carried New Jersey by 15.94%, making the state 11.49% more Democratic than the nation as a whole. But Trump is going to flip it. This is some serious delusional thinking here. As to New York, Biden carried the state by 60.87% to Trump’s 37.74% and if you go specifically into New York City, the percentage is higher. Point being, Trump’s guts are hated in New York and New Jersey, because these people know him from the tabloids. So when this Black guy says, “people know what’s going on,” I wholeheartedly agree, just not the way he means it.

I’ll tell you what I think is going on. This is a batshit theory but I honestly think this is where Trump is coming from. He’s looking for a new path to victory. Harris/Walz has shored up the rust belt and they are busy shoring up the sunbelt as well. Ergo, Trump needs to find a new path. New York has 29 electoral votes and New Jersey has 14. So that’s 43 electoral votes and that’s a chunk of change.

I think that in Trump’s addled mind that this is a possibility, or, at least it’s a convenient fantasy. He needs to believe he’s competitive. But I confess to not understanding at all why he thinks these two blue states, where he is better known than any other two states in the Union, are going to suddenly go through some kind of alien mind conversion and vote for him en masse. I get where the fantasy is fulfilling but how he can even begin to put these ideas into the world as a possibility is laughable.

Nevertheless, Trump found some Black guy somewhere and he’s willing to state this proposition on camera while standing next to Trump. Just a coming preview of the nuttiness yet to come.

Now this part I can translate. This is Trump-speak for “Wait a minute. My assassination attempt was supposed to get me 49 states. What happened to that, huh? What happened to that?” I predict he’ll be reposting that clip regularly. Desperate times call for desperate measures. And Donald is desperation personified.

  2. Hope Trump’s black guy friend got a meal before or after that little video. Cause the check Trump promised him is in the mail ain’t never coming!

    As for the assassination attempt, the guy who shot at him was killed by a bullet to the head from a local LE counter-sniper. I’d say that’s some serious accountability. Yes, there’s more but just not what Trump wants. In an often testy conversation with my sister last week about Trump we were in complete agreement on one thing – Trump’s own Secret Service detail had a lax attitude and that’s why he got shot. Even my sister pointed out things before I did about all the failures. And she didn’t push back when I noted his detail is made up of people HE chose. Mostly it’s been people who sucked up to him enough while he was in the WH that figured the easy pace and the perks of hanging out in “ritzy’ Trump properties would be a better way to get their twenty years in. (Except dealing with a campaign but I suspect they knew the schedule and it wouldn’t be anywhere near as hectic as in the past) Instead of THEM running Trump’s security HE told them what would and would not be.

    In the end, the person responsible for Trump actually being killed, only being alive because his would be assassin was a lousy shot is TRUMP HIMSELF! The professional incompetence of his Secret Service detail even continued after the shooter was taken out. Letting him pause and stick he head up a couple of times so photographers could snap pictures of him being “defiant” and even pausing when they got him to the car are proof of their incompetence. And they are all hand-picked Trumpy suck-ups. Or they wouldn’t have been on his detail in the first place.

    • Agree. There’s no way that Trump should have done his little photo op. He should have been shielded and hustled off, period. You can bet your boots that Biden or Obama or anybody in a similar situation would have hidden in the huddle of agents and left the scene.

      But Trump, being Trump, has to surround himself with hand picked sycophants and in this case it almost got him killed.

  3. I thought I heard that his protection detail was replaced and reassigned. Not to mention the head of the Secret Service resigning, but no one was held accountable. Right!

    • You are absolutely right, Marie. Great eye. You would have been great as a script supervisor, in charge of continuity errors, in the movies. (A job I was trained to do, believe it or not. That’s a story for a different day.) I did not catch that the first time. I can only assume that on a retake somebody decided to put a Trump hat on him.

      Wow, even his promos are staged and the staged promos can’t hold up to scrutiny. :))

  6. After the “bullet ” grazed his ear, where did it go?People were packed in directly behind him but no one was hit. The people that were shot were nowhere near him.
