Such a sad night and a sad spectacle. Like a kid who has to get ready for school the next day on Sunday night, poor Donald had to drag his weary butt back to Washington this evening. He simply hated it. He wanted to stay in Florida and drive his golf carts and watch the cash register go cha-ching every time he sold an overpriced steak or a piece of merchandising. That’s the life. And in point of fact? He’s absolutely right. That’s what he should be doing is playing golf and keeping his hands off our government. But unfortunately he had to stay out of prison and so here we are. Again.

The tariffs are not going to make the country one trillion dollars. The tariffs are going to cost the country one trillion dollars. But in true Goebbels-esque fashion, Trump makes the lie 1. Big, 2. Simple and 3. He keeps repeating it. Unfortunately, money markets have a way of responding to bullshit and that is to sell out and that’s what we saw Thursday and Friday, after Liberation Day on Wednesday.

Oh, you DO have to take medicine to fix something? Does Bobby Kennedy Junior know about that?

And here’s the killer. Donald wants to send people he doesn’t like to El Salvadoran prisons. He thinks that’s a terrific idea.

That is Trump spitballing. He’s fact free and just running his mouth to have something to say. This is why he hates the press. Donald can’t do this job at even a minimal, basic level, which is to answer a straightforward question about why the things in his administration are happening. He doesn’t know why. He’s not running the show. He’s the figurehead, the frontispiece, the executive by fiat, but he’s not the leader actually running the show.

The show is going on, with all different parties running every which way and Donald merely hopes and assumes that all will go well. And it never does. He is the textbook definition of “muddling.” He has no direction, no purpose — other than creating chaos and inflicting pain on an ever growing list of enemies — and no grand oversight. He’s like a fruit fly winging it from sunup to sundown.

Why should inflation be a big deal? Clueless is as clueless does. And does anybody know why these Air Force One press pools are done with Donald standing up and the plane shaking? That’s something new we’ve seen recently. I can’t find a reason for that anywhere, but I would love to know. My best thought is that if Trump is standing in a hall, then he has a place to turn and run when he can’t stand it anymore, as opposed to a more relaxed situation where everybody is seated and collegial.

You think they’re being “solicitous.” That’s sane peoples’ way of humoring a madman and trying to keep a bad situation from worsening.

  3. Is it time for Trump, his Cabinet, advisors and spokespeople, including those in Congress, to take a fact-finding trip to that notorious prison in El Salvador to see what it’s really like? Then they could all get stuck there, but at least they’d be together for comfort and since they’re in a foreign place, the U.S. couldn’t get them back.
    Am I remembering correctly that during St. Ronny’s term, the U. S. was instrumental in fomenting gangs and killings in El Salvador and other Central American countries which now leads their citizens to try to escape? What goes around comes around.

  6. Everything this creature says is either a lie or a misrepresentation of the facts, therefore, in direct conflict with reality. It’s not new, been going on for years, probably his entire life. But it is what causes me to look at those splaining to us how his genius is beyond our comprehension as if they have two heads.
