Trump Trial Season Is Upon Us. The ONE Thing To Remember As You Watch The Hearings

Man! What a boatload of Trump legal news today, and this is just day one. I had Teri wake me up this morning so I could see the hearing live, and I’m glad I did. And if you enjoyed as well, strap in, the judge today indicated weekly hearings starting next Friday so they can clear the barricades for on October 23rd trial date for Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell.

What struck me the most, right off of the bat, is what a total pleasure it was to actually see a criminal proceeding live, especially when conducted by a thoroughly qualified judge, and professional, well prepared lawyers. The arguments on both sides were tight, coherent, and compelling, and the judges questions and interjections were well timed and on point.

As with any well run hearing, nobody got what they wanted. Despite the best attempts of the defense attorneys, Judge Scott McAfee legally pronounced Chesebro and Powell defendant man-and-wife for their joint October trial. And he had Fulton County DA singing the blues when he basically told her to fuggedaboudit when it came to trying all 19 at once, or even the entire remaining 17. He gave the prosecutors until next Tuesday to file a last motion to sway his thinking, and he’ll see them, and us a week from Friday.

And if you watched Alex Wagner Tonight, you saw prominent white shoe lawyer Abbe Lowell, representing Hunter Biden, present another master class on how to spin a case to the public. In a hearing today apparently the Special Counsel advised the court that the DOJ was planning on indicting Hunter Biden next week on the stupid gun charge that blew up the previous plea agreement. Lowell spent 10 minutes on criminal defense for dummies as he explained how the Special Counsel had his head up his ass, and was simply doing a Bob-and-Neil for Jim Jordan to ease the political pressure.

If you watch the new at all, especially cable news like MSNBC or CNN, every time Trump is involved in a hearing or ruling, you suffer the sins of the damned by watching his flying monkey mouthpieces blather on FUX News. And in two minutes it becomes clear that they have the legal skills of scalloped potatoes, and aren’t interested in scoring legal points, just media points for Traitor Tot.

And to make my point, to close the evening we had a motion filed by a Trump mouthpiece apparently representing anybody Trump ever met in southern Florida, filed a motion with the Kindergarten Judge asking that the prosecution’s star witness, Trump Employee #4 be barred from testifying in the upcoming trial against Trump.

The argument is the kind of legal brilliance we haven’t seen since Clarence Darrow. This ass clown was hired by His Lowness to represent Trump Employee #4 while he was already representing Trump co-defendant Walt Nauta. His advice was for the employee to stonewall and go down on the ship with Nauta. The employee got better advice from a federal public defender, and rolled over and cooperated. The Trombie lawyer wants him barred from testifying because Jack Smith had the audacity to bring the witness before the DC grand jury that was already in session.

Here’s my whole point, and the moral of the story. Trump is under indictment in four locations, Manhattan, Atlanta, Washington DC, and Florida. And play time is over. The indictments are unsealed, the defendants have been arraigned, in most cases court dates have been set, and now the locomotive of the judicial system is starting to pick up steam rolling down the tracks. You’re going to start either seeing live, or hearing transcripts of preliminary and status update hearings. In three of those jurisdictions, Manhattan, DC, and Florida, the only pearls from swine you’ll get are from Trump lawyers.

And here’s the one point I want you to take away from this, and the one thing to remember and consider as you suffer through the endless pre-trial and process hearings. Since November 15th, 2020, Trump and his aligned attorneys are pretty much 0-infinity in state and federal courts. His one victory, in front of Divorce Court Judge Aileen Cannon was viciously slapped down by the 11th Appellate Court. Twice. As you watch the hearings, especially in November and December, when the other 17 Trump defendants start getting hearing dates in Atlanta, keep yourself a lawyer scorecard.

And then compare those Georgia criminal defense lawyers, none of whom Trump is paying for right now, and then compare them to the statements, motions, and arguments coming from the Trump K-Mart attorneys arguing on his behalf in his own hearings. I did that today, and the end result was pathetic. These other lawyers are defending their clients. Trump’s lawyers are defending their jobs. They’re all pretty much going down, but at least the others had competent representation.
