For the gazillionth time. *yawn* We all know he wants to cheat on the elections and do his own share of “stealing”, as if the grift isn’t enough already. Pissing off SCOTUS is not going to make them decide things for his benefit. The tariffs have already been shot down. *If* we are lucky, even the idiot conservatives will hop on and smack him down some more. It’s hard to tell with this bunch. Gratitude to Raw Story:
President Donald Trump escalated his attacks on voting laws Friday with a rambling Truth Social post that appeared to put the Supreme Court on notice, warning justices of the dire consequences if Democrats ever regain power. In the lengthy post, Trump claimed that Democrats are engaged in a “scam” to allow elections without voter identification and insisted he would bypass Congress through executive action if legislation fails.
Okay, I missed that this was from Friday. I thought it was yesterday. Please stay with me anyhow, since it’s started.
Scam? He should know. He’s all about the scams. We can start with the DoJ redacting his name out of the Epstein files so it’s not anywhere dangerous. How about the ghastly gold sneakers? Or Trump Cellular? Or Iran has nukes? Ok, a bit facetious on that last one, but you get the idea. He knows he’s toasted if (when!) Democrats get back in power. He thinks he can go around Congress, but it’s not that cut-and-dry. Democrats leading Congress won’t have an *easy* time overriding Trump, but it can be done. I checked. Go me.
But Trump saved his sharpest language for the Supreme Court itself. “I hope the Supreme Court realizes, as they ‘painstakingly’ review the very simple topic of Country Saving Tariffs (Those same Tariffs that have been used, by other Countries, against the U.S.A. to drain it of its Treasure and Security — for many years!), and all sorts of other things, that are making our Country Rich, Powerful, and Safe Again, that these Corrupt and Deranged Democrats, if they ever gain power, will not only be adding two States to our roster of 50, with all of the baggage thereto, but will also PACK THE COURT with a total of 21 Supreme Court Justices, THEIR DREAM,” the president wrote Friday.
Lots of headscratching going on here with that statement. Country Saving Tariffs my arse. Rich, powerful, and safe again country. We all know better. Two states? 21 Supreme Court justices? Huh? Apparently, I was only born yesterday because I remember nothing of those. I’ll go look later. I feel like this wasn’t quite all Trump because the phrase “all of the baggage thereto” seems a little too much for his lack of intelligence. Seriously. But the “all sorts of things” is certainly genuine Trump.
Trump went on to claim that Democratic leaders would accomplish this by “immediately” terminating the filibuster – “probably in their first week, or sooner.” “Our Country will never be the same if they allow these demented and evil people to knowingly, and happily, destroy it,” he added, comparing voter ID opposition to “Men playing Women’s Sports,” “Open Borders,” and “Transgender for Everyone,” while calling Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries “crooked losers.” Trump ended the post by signing off, “SAVE AMERICA!”
Hrm. Haven’t seen anything about the filibuster lately. I’ll have to go dig into that, too. And hey, Senator Booker knocked Strom Thurmond off the top spot. I thought there was a longer one, but apparently I am in error. I’m not batting well these days, it seems. Ah, well. I’ll get it back. And in the meantime, Trump should know better than to threaten the Supreme Court, because they have more cases against him. I’ll just hope they slap him again.

‘P’OTUS has a history of pissing off those that really shouldn’t be ruffled, in the manner he does. It’s becoming a more regular occurrence and the inevitable fallout is aggravated by his increasing lack of capacities and abilities because of his declining intelligence and foresight – because he’s ‘snort circuited’ his cerebral tissues. Captain ‘Snort Circuit’ is cooked, good and proper, and he can’t hide it any longer.
