Trump Slashes Sneaker Price. Cue… Mike Lindell

It’s not been a good day but it’s ending on a funny note. News broke earlier that Trump Sneakers which started off at $399 a pop are now selling for only a hundred bucks. That’s a 75% price drop in what, less than two freaking weeks? Well, that sure as hell perked me up on what’s otherwise been a rough day.

However, according to Raw Story the “coveted” (if you’re a dumbass MAGA goober) sneakers can now be had at a “bigly” discount. We all had a good laugh over all the suckers who shelled out four hundred bucks for those gawdy Trump Sneakers recently. And again when it was learned they hadn’t even been made yet. (nor apparently any deal in the works with a shoe manufacturer) The best part was two-fold: 1) They wouldn’t SHIP until July or maybe August and ahem, might take a little longer, and 2) All sales according to the website were final. NO refunds. For any reason. Still, the entire “first run” (? they haven’t even been made yet!) of 1000 sold out in hours. MAGA.

I for one would love to see sane people with MAGA relatives or friends who read about this, set their smart phone to record and suggested their MAGA check it out. Could make for some fun times on social media don’t you think? Trump suckered folks big time:

“I wonder how many gullible idiots bought a pair of Trump’s ‘Never Surrender’ sneakers at the original $400 price,” asked a Democratic campaign finance executive Jon Cooper. “You can now find them online for under $100, lol. Anyway, whatever price they pay, these MAGA morons will likely never get delivery. It’s just another con, folks.”

Well, at least a thousand that we know of. I seldom believe Trump but knowing there are probably 30 million hard core MAGAs I doubt he’d have much trouble getting a thousand of them to buy in instinct. My guess is that the next day when the MAGA “OMG I’ve got to order my Trump Sneakers” died down a bit and word got out they’d have to wait at least until late summer the fever broke. One can only imagine how pissed Trump was that word got out, and the stories also were clear about the NO REFUND disclaimer on the site where MAGAs could place their order. I’ll be he was counting on a month or more, and each week jacking up the price! Oh well.

Predictably social media started chiming in as the linked article notes. My favorite comment they showed was this one:

GOP pollster Frank Luntz joked: “The ‘Never Surrender’ Trump sneakers have surrendered to the Deep Discount State.”

Well, that one’s gonna leave a mark!  Let’s face it. Even MAGAs might start reading (or having someone they trust read to them) the details of the website’s disclaimer which as I recall went so far as to say even if something beyond Trump’s control happened and he therefore wouldn’t be able to send them their “beautiful” Trump Sneakers he wouldn’t be liable – so NO REFUND. To you and I when translated Trump is saying: You goobers think I’m going to waste money actually making and shipping them? SUCKERS. LOSERS. I need every dollar I can get my hands on to pay lawyers! I DO have a bunch of coffee mugs and other sh*t sitting in a warehouse that no one is buying. You can have one of those for half the original price. Plus shipping and handling. (of course)

Ah, but there might be someone to help out and help Trump save some face with MAGA Nation. Yep. Mike Lindell! He of MyPillow fame. Who lest we forget paired with Rudy G. to hawk MySlippers. I don’t know if those slippers were made in Lindell’s factory or if he bought them from a subcontractor (probably) but at least he’s got a contact that knows something about manufacturing footwear. Although having once been a pretty damned good basketball player (good enough to play past high school but not quick enough for Division I schools) I wouldn’t care to try and play in whatever gets made.

But who knows? Lindell is probably frantically pitching Trump to pair up for a “MyTrumpSneakers” and Mikey knows all about making late night tee vee sales pitches on cable. Maybe we’ve got a bit more mocking of Lindell left to do…
